Larry Brown is Ready for Stephen Jackson

Some of his former teammates aren’t happy with the trade, but Stephen sure is! Oh, and good luck with all of that, Larry: “You consider Stephen Jackson a high-maintenance player? Charlotte Bobcats coach Larry Brown knows high-maintenance, and it doesn’t rattle him. ‘I can deal with (high-maintenance) kids. All you have to do is be straight with them,’ Brown said. ‘After six years with Allen (Iverson in Philadelphia), I don’t look at anybody as a challenge. (Jackson) wants to play and he’s a competitor. Guys like that you can make work in your locker room.”’

    Go get it.

Am I the only one who thinks the Bobcats will benefit from this?

  • Clark

Nope, I agree. I think this is a good thing for the Cats. And LB won’t hate him, because SJax is one of the few high maintenance players who is also a good defender. I’m excited. I do think it’s funny that IMO, the Cats start 3 small forwards…

SJ will sure be of help this season, but that contract may be a bit too much

Im sensing this will be a signifigant success for both parties; the signifigance being relative to a team who have never made the playoffs

Lb is right, he dealt with AI anybody else is pretty much easy as hell.

Yeah, this will be a relative success. Jax is what Charlotte needed. They looked lost before – last night all their starters scored in double figures. They’ll get it. I still don’t think they’ll make the playoffs.

Bad decision by MJ and the cats, ridding yourself of all cap flexibility and adding one of the league’s biggest turds, which is ok if he can play defense apparently. All that crying about being a winner and now you’re happy to get traded to another mediocre/bad team? Put the pipe down gangsta, I would hate to be a Bobcats fan right now.

Was just a not-so-subliminal message to MJ: Dont even think about thinking about signing that guy that gave my gray hair GREY HAIRS!!!!!!!

    Cleveland sucks at potential trades.

Not a good trade it will hurt the Cats

Stephen Jackson had 13 points and 9 rebounds last night without knowing a single play in the Bobcats playbook. This guy is legit.

Forrest Crunk i would hate if you were a Bobcat fan right now…

Larry Brown is a pro’s pro. He has stood the test of time. Besides, Larry Brown is a New” York” guy. He has street smarts.

Forrest Crunk, here’s the thing. Cap flexibility doesn’t mean jack squat when you are a small market team that big name free agents avoid the plague. The ‘Cats now have a puncher’s chance of beating anybody now.
