Marreese Speights May Miss Two Months

And the injury hits just keep on coming: “With 9 minutes, 38 seconds left in the fourth quarter of last night’s game against the Chicago Bulls, Speights grimaced and grabbed his left knee. It was on a defensive possession. Speights went back to the locker room with the Sixers trainer and did not return. After the game, the Sixers said Speights would be evaluated further today. That further evaluation — an MRI this morning — revealed the partial tear. Sixers team doctor, Jack McPhilemy, said Speights will be out approximately six to eight weeks.”

    Damn, Get well soon kid. But on the bright side, could this lead to the return of Elton Brand?!

    DAMN…..DAMN… DAMMMNNNN! Elton’s playin like cow pies… Iggy is soooooo underachieving and Lou is not the answer (no pun intended) this system eddie is running is not working…. LET THEM RUN! But don’t you need a PG to help… I went to the Sixers game Vs. Utah and a Guard named ERIC MAYNOR WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT! (He gave Lou work!) Or even TY LAWSON who banged on Mbenga… U got to love 76ers ownership…. Wheres Pat Croche when you need him! Its another long season Philly Fans… :O(

    @dj – what a needless comment
    @niQ – brand really isnt up to much, he played well at weekend, but every other game he’s been sucking, and it doesnt even seem like its just a lack of game sharpness, hopefully im wrong though.
    personally, i blame eddie jordan, i cant stand coaches who come to franchises and enforce their style on preceedings, there are idiosyncracies to every team and they need to be evaluated…considering the flexibilty in the squad he really hasnt applied any sort of working pattern on O, we are averaging same ppg as last season pretty much while some players have seriously decreased in eff., and im pretty sure he hasnt bothered to coach any sort of D since he took over.
    on the article, gutted! speights could be big in the future, can play both ends with contemptous ease at times
