    No Extension for Rudy Gay

So, Gay ended up not getting the $50 mil that he requested. Better luck next time, Rudy: Negotiations broke off Monday evening so Gay will become a restricted free agent next summer. The Griz still can match any offer sheet Gay signs. The parties had until 10:59 p.m. CST Monday to strike a deal. ‘We’ve agreed to not agree,’ said Jeff Austin, Gay’s agent. ‘We looked at different ways we might try to get something done and we weren’t able to agree.”‘

Hey, if NY can’t get Bron there is always Rudy, right?
      Right?

Smart move by the Grizzlies, for a change.

man $50 millions is kinda less for a player of rudy’s caliber. its not his fault that the grizzles suck!
its a smart move for the grizzles
they should have the cap room and let rudy take his game elsewhere
because anyways thery’re gonna suck big time and end up winning a lottery pick
mite as well use the money on that
      unlike this year

A player that has carried the Grizz to nowhere doesn’t deserves this kind of money. Good move for the Grizz.

Honestly though, who are they saving their money for. No real elite NBA player is going to sign with them. They are going nowhere fast with Z-Bo and A.I. Why not pay a guy like Gay who has to tools to be great, and help him become great?

      Jersey sales were a factor.

      Thanks, Memphis!
Now Rudy will be playing for a contract, which will hopefully benefit one of my fantasy teams.
I know how important it is for the rest of you to read about my fantasy team, so you’re welcome.

LeeVan, I never thought about it like that if RG is worth it let his season dictate that!
