    Prince Could Face Back Surgery

The news just keeps getting worse and worse for Tayshaun: “For now, the remedy is rest for the ruptured disc in Tayshaun Prince’s back, but possible surgery to correct the problem hasn’t been ruled out. The team announced after Saturday’s practice that the seven-year veteran will be out indefinitely because of the back injury that ended his streak of 436 consecutive starts with Tuesday’s home game against the Magic. The Pistons realized the seriousness of the problem Tuesday and he underwent treatment immediately to help ease the problem. His back responded at first and felt better, but things haven’t gotten better since. So Prince is continuing treatment and he isn’t expected back in the foreseeable future.”

This is terrible to hear as a Detroit fan. Hope Prince gets better soon.

So much for those trade rumors. I feel bad for Tay because ruptured discs are no joke. Jonas Jerebko has filled in nicely for him the last 2 games.

Tad: Exactly, too bad for Tayshaun, but JJ has really made a fantastic start on his NBA career. Anyone who saw this coming? I´m much proud of my fellow countrymans effort, keep it up Jonas!

I mean Joe Dumars praised Jerebko and his mature game after he drafted him but all GM’s give praise to their draft picks. I certainly didn’t think he would be this good.

On top of that, Austin Daye is getting better in practice and starting to earn playing time. The silver lining in Tay’s injury is that the rookies are getting valuable playing time and learning.

so IF he has surgery, he will miss the rest of the season…. wow.

If Tay can come back towards the end of the year, maybe he’ll be rejuvenated (if he can actually heal)? He’s been looking pretty worn out during the playoffs the last few years.

Having had 2 surgeries for ruptured discs in the past, I can tell you that it’s no joke. However, the bright spot is that if the surgery is a minor one (ie lumbar discectomy), he should be able to bounce back from it soon.

As a Bulls-turned-Pistons fan, this is crazy. I just hope Prince gets better. He’s one of the good guys of the league. BG!!

Remember when prince and bogans returned to kentucky because their draft status was suspect and look @ prince now. World champion gold medalist and lockdown artist. Hopefully he comes bqack 100% if not he’s still made the best out of the past 7 yrs.
