Tayshaun Prince’s Ironman Streak is Over

Until last night, Prince had suited up in over 400 consecutive NBA games: “The team just announced that small forward Tayshaun Prince will miss tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic because of a lower back strain, ending his consecutive-start streak at 439 games. Prince will not make the two-game trip to Toronto (Wednesday) and Orlando (Friday), either. His games-played streak was second among active players, trailing Andre Miller, and his games-started streak of 439 was the longest active run.”

Oh no…Tay it ain’t so! Seriously though, the guy’s all washed up. Detroit should just go ahead & trade him to Boston for Ray Allen. (rubbing hands together) Mwah-hahahaha! Yes…yesssss…

I think he’s done. he was on decline the past few years. He needs a new veteran laden team who can use a long limbed defender who can hit the three(CLEVELAND!!!) If you play LBJ at the four Tay at the three Parker at the two Willams at the one and Shaq at the 5. you have a tall strong and versitale line up. I don’t think danny ainge is that dumb maybe if detroit includes rodney stuckey but that isn’t gonna happen

Get off Lebron’s nut sack. Just a thought.

Good for Tay. Rest up for a change. Iron Man streaks mean nothing if you keep coming up short when it counts in the playoffs.

There is actually rumors going around Detroit that there may be a trade in the works involving Prince and possibly Jason Maxiell, since he was a DNP-CD last night. I’m not sure who they may be targeting but I have heard Boozer’s name pop up.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.4 at 4:18 pm
The reason the rumors have started is because Prince was actually scratched right before the game without much of a warning. He was active in practice earlier in the day.

Right now, I think RIP is way more important to the team than Tayshaun, so I’d like that move…not for Boozer though. I actually wouldn’t mind trading Bynum while his stock is high and getting a true PG.

      also…HE’S FAKING!!!!

I’m not too sure about that Rip comment. Tayshaun is one of those players that you don’t know what you have until he actually isn’t playing for an extended period, which luckily the Pistons have not experienced. However, he is probably the most tradeable asset the Pistons have.
