The News Gets Worse for Devin Harris

Devin and the Nets just can’t seem to catch a break: “The NBA’s only winless team, already hit with more injuries than most teams get in a half a season, learned Thursday that Harris will be out at least another six games due to a strained groin, if not longer. Returning from getting a second opinion in Chicago, the Nets’ top player admitted he could be done for the final 12 games of November. ‘It could two to four weeks,’ he said, referring to the healing process and full recovery. ‘But I’m leaning more towards the two.”‘

in fact, CDR is out with the flu, so the Nets will only have 9 players tonight against Philly. Lopez, T. Williams, Alston, Lee, Hassell, Boone, S. Williams, Najera and Simmons. Sounds like a winner, doesn’t it? Our injured list might be even able to beat these guys: Harris, Douglas-Roberts, Batte, Yi, Dooling and Hayes. Sorry for naming all these names, but I can’t believe how bad a season can get in just one week of action.

I’m quite sure Stern is already freezing that Draft Lottery envelope.

Nets plus the number 1 pick this year become even more attractive to Lebron, right?

    • tavoris Posted: Nov.6 at 3:25 pm
George, I dont’ kno if Devin Harris and his long-term contract would like John Wall too much…

    • Yesse Posted: Nov.6 at 6:42 pm
Courtney must not be happy, lol.

Tavoris, on point with the John Wall statement.

      New Jersey Nyets!

whats all this john wall hype yeah i can say he is freakishly athletic but other than that he has shown me nothing he will be a turnover machine if he tries all that fancy ball handling non sense he does in college

    • Gerard Himself Posted: Nov.7 at 9:04 am
Dacre: very original post, no one has made that joke yet.
Anyway, against Philly Lee strained his groin. This will mean that the Nets will only have 8 players available against the Celtics. (unless CDR gets back from the flu, but I’ve read that it probably won’t happen)

then nets will fix up soon, and they wont get the #1 pick i think its gonna be the Grizzlies because this Iverson thing is not workin out he’ll get traded, they’ll gte a decent player(s) and with the #1 they can get John Wall and finally dump there bust Mike Conley

    • Anthony Posted: Nov.7 at 12:23 pm
if the nets get the #1 pick they shout get Luke (from Notre Dame) because he would be a good PF in the league and seriously Yi is the biggest bust on the nets and has done virtually nothing or Lance Stephenson Because he would make a decent SF/SG and they really need another slasher to go with Courtney Lee

    • Gerard Himself Posted: Nov.7 at 7:38 pm
It’s official: CDR has the swine flu, so only 8 players tonight against the Celtics.

    • Dacre Posted: Nov.7 at 8:18 pm
8 players for the game…? This is where you “borrow” Mike D’Antoni, he knows how to get it done with 6 players, a cheerleader and chocolate sauce.

    • Gerard Himself Posted: Nov.7 at 10:20 pm
Okay, the Celtics obviously won, but gotta give credit to the Nets tonight. I thought they would get murdered.

ooooo so this is why courtney lee was crying when he heard he was moving to the garden state -__-

    • funkdoc Posted: Nov.8 at 11:34 am
Dooling, Hayes, CDR, Harris, Yi, Lee, Battie… is this even possible? For a team that already has the worst lineup in the league! C’mon… they even had no choice but to play Sean Williams, who is hated by the entire squad or something. I really feel sorry for them. But yes, give them credit. It’s nice to see a team commit 24 turnovers but still has the heart of a winning team.

    • Shem Posted: Nov.9 at 2:34 pm
Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Yi, Coutney Lee, CDR they will probably get the 1st round pick and sign a couple of players in 2010. Not gonna lie this team is looking scary good for the future, for now they are the 2nd worst team in the league *ehem knicks*
