Tyrus Thomas Has a Broken Arm

The Bulls’ forward suffered an unfortunate injury in the weight room: “Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas suffered another mishap Friday afternoon. Working out in the weight room at the Berto Center, he fractured the radius in his left forearm and is expected to be sidelined 4 to 6 weeks. X-rays confirmed the injury and he will undergo surgery Saturday at Rush University Medical Center. The surgery will be performed by team physicians Dr. Brian Cole and Dr. John Fernandez, and assisted by Dr. Mark Cohen. In Thomas’ absence, rookie Taj Gibson figures to become the full-time starter at power forward. He started the past two games while Thomas was suffering from the flu.”

His jumper is a little better, but I can see the comparisons. Unfortunate about his injury a young team just got younger. Fortunately with a arm injury he can still run and keep his wind. His jump shot should be cash.when he returns. Sitting in a chair shootin with 1 hand workin on follow thru. Not to mention gettin a rookie big minutes can only help come post season. Silver linings all ova

Sad things for the Bulls, when they dont resign him he will go on te be a monster player for another team. He has all the tools to be a better skilled Shawn Marion.

@ Coach Wait - all the tools except a functioning basketball brain, that is. his athleticism is so seductive that its easy to forget that he is often totally lost on D and that his O often breaks any kind of ball movement the team has going…

Damn, I don’t know if he’ll be able to push Taj aside when he comes back,

  • Hursty Posted: Nov.9 at 8:47 pm
Yeh Taj has been playing great, and his IQ is waaay higher than Thomas’s - it’s ridiculous.
