Beef Between Chandler and Wallace?

Tyson took exception to Gerald questioning the heart of certain players on his own team: “The night before, after an 8-point loss to Utah, Wallace had called out Chandler and Boris Diaw for their poor work on the glass. ‘The 4 and the 5 [positions] got eight rebounds,’ Wallace said. ‘Individually, we’re not taking pride in defensive assignments. We’re not taking pride in helping teammates.’ When asked how the Bobcats could fix their problem, Wallace responded, ‘Can you fix somebody’s heart? That’s a personal thing.’ So when Chandler played his most productive game of the season a mere 24 hours later, the natural assumption was that Chandler had been motivated by Wallace’s criticism. But the 7-1 center said that wasn’t the case. He didn’t appreciate being singled out (along with Diaw). ‘I think it’s bull personally,’ said Chandler, who matched his season-high with 13 points. ‘When you lose and play like we do, you can’t say that someone else is the problem. I don’t feel like we’re good enough to point fingers.”’

He’s just used to Byron crossing his arms and CP yelling at him.

meh. Wallace gets rebounds so I’m with him. He’s on my fantasy team and i never see the guy without at least 9 rebounds a night. Chandler is just the offspring of CP’s beautiful passes. Forgot Boris was still in the L. play wit it.

  • LA Huey

Two injury-prone players in a fight?

  • riggs

wallace is leading the damn team and i think is top 3 in rebounds, chandler needs to stfu.

  • Jose

8 boards from the 4 and 5? darn right he had resaon to complain, but dont og questioning heart for that.that part aint right.

Gerald is correct. Diaw and Chandler are softies.

  • Dfrance

Is this the same Wallace that missed last nights game with a headache?

real migraines are no joke, seriously. i can relate because i’ve been having chronic migraines forever. when it gets really bad you can’t function.

  • giogolo

Man, Gerald is in every right CORRECT. Chandler T. needs to man up. He doesnt desrve his name all 7’1 of his. Gerlad is walking the talk almost evry single game even after he his rib was smashed by Bynum.

  • tavoris

I agree Z…chronic migraines are NO JOKE AT ALL. You can’t hoop when you can’t see.

Well, Diaw has never been a huge rebounder, so in fairness, that’s what you know you should be getting when you put him at the four. Chandler, on the other hand, was a rebound monster a few years ago, so I can see why people (Wallace) would be angry at his lack of rebounding
Chandler was CLEARLY a product of CP3

thats like MJ complainning im not good enough for his team plzzzzzzzzz.

Years ago, losing by a mere 8 points to the Jazz would have felt like a ‘moral victory’ – “Crash” should and does expect more from the BETcats this season.

@ Jukai. You said it the best.

  • Rob

Chandler is the king of softies. The guy is weak. Weak heart, weak body weak playing.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

Gerald is the team’s leader, Tyson calling Gerald’s factual words ‘bull’ cannot be tolerated. Tyson is having a hard time fitting in here and Diaw has just given up ever since Bell got traded. I expect the Bobcats to get a new big man for the rotation and i expect it soon. I dont want their to be conflict on my team. But if it comes to it, i know the party oposing Gerald is the party that is leaving. This is Gerald’s team.

“I don’t feel like we’re good enough to point fingers.” This attitude will rip our team apart. In order to win, you must think like a winner. Tyson is thinking like a loser. When their are problems you must acknowledge them and fix them in order to overcome. When saying the problem is we arent good enough, you are creating an obsticle that you cannot overcome. I think Tyson misses Chris Paul and all the perks that came with playing with Chris Paul. We are asking him to work here, and he whines like a little b!tch and blames the team instead of trying to make improvements. I am still glad we got rid of Emeka though. Now nobody can ask me What a Oka-is-For (to dunk on silly!).

  • Shem

Tyson doesn’t care. The players that care don’t get injured every year or atleast sit out due to injuries they probably could play with. Wallace is right, hes the sf and leading the league in rebounding so he can say whatever he wants. If it was a PG saying it, theres no right or wrong but when the SF is averaging more rebounds then the 4 and 5 (as well as points, blocks, steals) he can call them out. By the way, Okafor is a better player then Chandler just expensive

  • flash

g-force is right. tyson needs to man up and take it. he’s back to his old shell like when he was with the bulls.

  • dude

Nobody should question Wallace’s right to critize Chandler and Diaw, especially as the team’s captain. Even if he wasn’t right, he should be allowed to do so. But why does he do it in public? No locker room, no team meetings? Not a good sign…

  • nomde

best solution trade diaw for brandon bass…stan would like diaw coz he shoots the 3 and chandler for chris kaman

  • Retrobat

Hahahaha. The clips are not going to give up Kaman for Chandler. Ridiculous.
