Will Greg Oden Return This Season?

The big fella isn’t entirely convinced that he won’t be back on the court before next season: “I just want to get back,” said Oden in his first public comments since he suffered a fractured left kneecap Dec. 5, resulting in recent surgery. ‘They say I’m out for the whole year, but my plan is to work really hard and you never know. Hopefully I don’t have to [be sidelined all season]. I’m hoping things are way ahead of schedule and I can come back at the end of the year.’ While Oden is trying to return to the court as quickly as possible, agents Bill Duffy and Mike Conley are promising to oversee a thorough investigation to understand why the No. 1 pick of the 2007 draft has suffered two major knee injuries in three NBA seasons. Oden missed his entire rookie season after undergoing microfracture surgery on his right knee. Last year he sat out 14 games after suffering a bone chip in his left knee.”

Durant is obviously the better but Portland needs an healthy Oden way more then another scorer, even if that scorer is a superstar in the making…when healthy(hope he can be after this sh!t) Oden is a game changer on both sides of the court…GET WELL SOON BIG FELLA, dont rush it, the year of challenging LA is postponed for next season anyway.

    he needs to work on his ballance and his core strenght you don’t jump up and have your knee go like that if there is nothing wrong with your body. too bad you can’t sue your doctor because his needs to be fired. so does the enitre medical staff in houston and in washington

I certainly wasn’t trying to get any fellow basketball fan off side or heated and was not looking to stir up contentions with anybody. That, being anyone from any specific ethnic heritage or anybody that felt offended for themselves and others. I understand my post was ill-conceived and thoughtlessly insensitive and outside the bounds of respect for those different in culture to that of my own.
