Shaq’s Wife to Produce a Reality Show

With one notable exception (the glorious “Jersey Shore”), pretty much all reality television is awful. And now Shaunie O’Neal will add to it. Wonderful: “A VH1 reality series that promises an inside look at the lives of NBA players’ wives and girlfriends is set to air early next year. VH1 said Monday that ‘Basketball Wives’ will show the upside of the women’s lives — big homes, designer clothes and jewelry — and the drawbacks, including worries about whether their husbands are being faithful on roadtrips. Shaquille O’Neal’s wife, Shaunie, will be featured and is an executive producer. Others taking part are Eric Williams’ wife, Jennifer, and Mesha O’Neal, married to Jermaine O’Neal.”

    They already did a show like this years ago with wives from different sports and it was crap. Guess that payday from Diesel aint enough for ya, huh Shaunie? Better get Tiger’s and Letterman’s wives to make cameos to help your ratings

    The same people who watch dreck like The Real Houseswives of ____ will watch this garbage. While people are losing their jobs, who doesn’t want to watch a bunch of pampered women live the fabulous life because of who they married? *rolls eyes* And isn’t Shaunie in the process of becoming a Basketball EX-wife?

    Incidently, after watching 30 seconds of ‘Jersey Shore’ I felt like I was on work release, and the job they gave me was house monitor for some low-life juvies.

    I am almost certain that without Shaq’s wife there wouldn’t really be any need for more than fifteen or twenty people to tune in. As we all know controversy sells. What’s more controversial than the soon-to-be divorced wife of one of the game’s most well known players?
