Al Jefferson Not Worried About Trade Rumors

Big Al laughs off your silly trade chatter: “The NBA trade deadline is inching closer and closer, and Minnesota Timberwolves center Al Jefferson knows what that means. Rumors are going to start swirling fast and furious, and he heard his name right in the middle of one of them over the weekend. His reaction? Just a chuckle and a shrug. ‘I laugh at rumors,’ Jefferson said after shootaround Monday in Denver, a few hours before the Timberwolves were set to play the Nuggets. ‘That’s why they’re rumors.”‘

Good attitude…but you know he’s gotta be hoping he can go somewhere where he can win.

Al J laughs cause no matter where he ends up, he’ll probably have a better chance at winning (except maybe NJ).

As much as I love Al’s almost unstoppable old school post game, he needs to step up the defense & passing skills.
Otherwise his name will come up at every deadline and he’ll slowly morph into Zach Randolf. A great offensive player who gets shuttled from one team to the next when they realize he’s a one dimensional player.

Whatever, he wants to leave, that’s why he is laughing and in his mind I know he is saying “please trade me for somebody”

I hope they make the trade for Granger he will help the Wolves more than Big Al does

B-zog. If you read any article regarding Granger for Al J you clearly didn’t read the whole thing. The Pacers rejected it as soon as they heard it. LOL

He will be laughing untill they ship his ass off 2 Canada

lol at the guy that said he will be moved around like Zach Randolph. They play a similar game, but Zach only moves around so much because his head is screwed on backwards. Anyways, I think the Wolves can build around their frontcourt, but a trade for a big time scorer would help them a lot. Thank god Bird knows what he’s doing, kinda.

    Al is better than Granger

Raptors should try to get involved… get rid of Turkoglu and throw another scrub (Patrick O’Bryant or someone else), move Bargnani to small forward and let him get the outside touches, run Bosh at PF and Jefferson at C. Would be last train for Bosh to hop on and see where it could take them before playoffs. One can always wonder, right? I think it would be a nice line-up, but then again, I thought Hedo would make a big impact too…

Why should he be? The Lakers will probably get him for Luke Walton and a bag of Fritos.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Ricky, that’s not a bad idea. That would be a GREAT line-up. Except I’m pretty sure the Timberwolves wouldn’t be that bad.. I mean Al Jefferson for Hedo Turkoglu? Really? I doubt any team in the league would accept that.
If the Raptors do make a run at Al Jefferson, sadly, it will probably be at the expense of Chris Bosh.
But, if Bosh decides to leave, getting Al Jefferson would be a fantastic thing for the Raptors. Al Jefferson has top 3 best post-moves in the NBA. Phenomenal rebounder and scorer.
Anyone know how good Al Jefferson’s defense is, though?
