Amar’e Would Consider the Nets

Well, that’s what he says anyway: “There was the expected here last night. The Nets played a game, the Nets lost a game. No surprise. But there also was the unexpected as Suns four-time All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire, one of the key names expected on this summer’s free agent market, said he sees the Nets’ “potential” and would not automatically dismiss them. ‘There are some teams you may say, ‘no way,’ said the 6-foot-10 Stoudemire, who scored 27 points in the Suns’ 118-94 win that dropped the Nets to 3-38 at the season’s halfway point. ‘I don’t think the Nets are one of them.”‘

    And Amar’e is nuts.

Let the trade rumors begin again! But I wouldn’t say no to a Lebron-Amar’e duo…

  • LeoneL

honestly hes right. with a young core like 2 quick scoring guards with good defense in courtney lee and devin harris. A solid big man in brook lopez and a versatile small forward who can play inside , out and create matchup problems being a 7 footer in yi jianlian. The addition of amare, a years experience of playing would make them a dangerous team…on paper at least

Brooke lopez is MORE than a solid big man, leonel. He has the makings of a franchise player. Right now the nets should be 100% invested in building around him and harris, although to be honest I think they need another point guard who’s more of a contributor. Anyway Amare going to the nets is going to eff up brooke’s development, if they’re going after big names come next summer, chris paul would be a better choice.

    umm… why?
I used to love VC with the nets. I still like VC. The nets not so much. But STAT wouldnt make me like em again

They still wouldn’t play any defense.

the nets need a legitimate point guard to even be relevant. CP3 maybe? haha i can only dream.

He don’t play Defense so he’ll fit right in!

He doesn’t care where he goes next year as long as he gets his max contract. He doesn’t care about winning.

    Step 1: Tank
Step 2: Get John Wall in the draft
Step 3: Trade away Harris for expirings and young studs
Step 4: Sign Bosh or Amare to a near-max contract
    Step 5: Sign Lebron.
Step 6: Move to Brooklyn and win seven championships.
Although I predict the only thing they will accomplish is step one.

Gotta love guys who talk about playing on other teams during the season. Amar’e is all about Amar’e.

Honestly IDK why you made me read that? Did you just want another hit on your piece you wrote.

Jukai, let’s hope you’ll never be a GM.

Gerard: I keep sending the Knicks my resume but they never get back to me.

Nets could turn it around quickly with Wall and a big signing. Plus their new Russian owner will supposedly pay big money for a winner. Jukai may get more than 1 right

  • jcs14

Thunder should try to get him

  • Klemperer

I’ll bet he could nearly double their win total.

Jukai, how does a team with 3 wins tank?
