Gil Continues to Take Situation Seriously

Arenas and his teammates re-enacted a fake shootout scene from the movies prior to last night’s game, because that’s just hilarious, you see: “The image was caught on camera, and the photo — of Arenas’ fingers cocked, a grin on his face and on the faces of the other Wizards around him — was plastered all over the Internet by halftime. Afterward, he and the players acknowledged that they were doing a take-off on a touchdown celebration from the movie Any Given Sunday, in which a player sprayed his teammates with pretend gunfire as they all fell back in a circle. ‘They asked me to do it,’ Arenas said. After meeting with reporters after the game, Arenas appeared to show remorse on Twitter. ‘I know everybody seen the pre game pics..my teammate thought to break the tention we should do that..but this is gettn way to much,’ he wrote, adding a few minutes later, ‘I wanna say sorry if I pissed any body off by us havin fun…I’m sorry for anything u need to blame for for right now.”‘

There have been several reports that one of the weapons Gil “allegedly” displayed at the Verizon Center was a gold plated Desert Eagle. If this is true, I think it’s safe to assume that:
    (A) Gilbert’s been spending way too much time playing “COD: Modern Warfare”.
    & (B) He likes goooooooold.

You know, as much as I realize how blatantly stupid this act was, I sort of respect Arenas for how big of an F YOU he’s willing to give the world. I mean, that takes balls.
Whenever he or Javaris make a good play, they should start pretend shooting each other.

    to NICKO:
    Don’t forget Delonte West!

  • [...] Many observers thought Stern would wait to see if criminal charges were filed before taking action — Arenas could potentially face up to five years in prison for carrying an unregistered firearm in the District of Columbia, and there’s a chance he and teammate Javaris Crittenton could face assault charges as well. Arenas probably didn’t help his own cause by miming a shootout with teammates on the court before last night’s game. [...]
