DeRozan and Gordon to ‘Dunk-In’

An awful idea to begin with, made even more awful! (Eric Gordon? Seriously?) Thanks, NBA: “I don’t think it’s going to be a big deal to dunk on Friday and then do it again on Saturday. It’s not that big of a deal. You just have to rest a little bit and have fun with it. [The NBA All-Star Dunk-in takes place at halftime of the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge on Feb. 12. The winner of the one-round contest will participate in the Sprite Slam Dunk the following night. I don’t know what I’m going to do just yet. Some people don’t think I can really jump or I’m that much of a dunker. I’m going to pull out something. I’m going to use these next few weeks to get with family and friends and my teammates to get a lot of ideas. I’ll figure out what I’m capable of doing. It’ll be a learning experience. I’m more of a powerful dunker and since I’m a little bit shorter than most guys, it’s better to be creative when you’re shorter. I’ve got to learn to be more creative. Vince Carter is probably the best dunker I’ve seen, but it’ll be hard for me to do dunks like him. The dunk contest maybe hasn’t been as exciting the last five years or so. Maybe we can change that. We’ll see what happens.”
