Javaris Crittenton Sentenced

Javaris had his day in court yesterday, and walked away with a year of probation for his role in the locker room gun mess involving Gilbert Arenas: “Wizards reserve guard Javaris Crittenton pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court on Monday to a misdemeanor gun possession charge stemming from his locker room confrontation with Gilbert Arenas at the Verizon Center last month. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to drop a second misdemeanor charge and recommend a sentence of probation. Senior Judge Bruce Beaudin on Monday agreed with the prosecutor’s suggestion and sentenced Crittenton to one year of unsupervised probation and $1,250 in fines. Crittenton also agreed to begin a mentoring program to District children and work with the NBA on relief for Haiti earthquake victims. Crittenton, 22, was charged this afternoon with unlawful possession of a firearm and attempting to carry a pistol without a license, both misdemeanors. Each charge carried a maximum year in jail.”

    this is so disgusting:
“he legitimately feared for his life”

Because millionaires shoot other millionaires all the time ? In a locker room ? with a dozen witnesses ? Man, GTFOH, these two definitely need to get their heads checked asap ….

This whole situation is a joke.. but for some reason I can’t stop reading about it!

I’d like to see Gil come back next year on a contender

Any team Gil is on won’t be a contender. As he won’t sign somewhere he can’t be the #1 or #2 option, and if you make him that option, you ain’t winning sh*t. Except maybe the draft lottery……

Everyone makes mistakes, i love gil and his humour but when he came into phili joking about it, i m done defending him. He shouldn’t have pulled a gun (especially on a team mate) and if he has gambling debts, he should pay them

what? $1,250 is way less than someone gets fined for criticising the refs and he pointed a gun at some1?

Luckily the Lakers got rid of him. He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed either.
