Water Bottle Kick Costs LeBron $25K

By accidentally splashing a few fans with water, James becomes a slightly poorer man: “NBA Executive Vice President Stu Jackson fined James $25,000 on Thursday for kicking a water bottle into the stands. Upset about not getting a call on a drive to the basket, James was hit with a technical foul for oomplaining to referees with 12.4 seconds left in the quarter and the Cavs up by one point. Coach Mike Brown removed James from the game to cool him down and when James came to the bench he kicked the bottle, which sprayed several fans with water behind the bench. Sending anything into the stands is against the rules and James would have been ejected from the game if the officials saw him do it.”

^ Ay either you as stupid as you sound, or it took you FOUR MINUTES to type the word FIRST.

    Either way, you fail.

now these emotional n**gas can quit crying about him not getting fined i think its really hate but they disguise the shit with dunk contest complaints and are convinced hes treated better than the rest of the L

  • jumpman3224

In the scheme of things not a major deal, but glad to see a fine come down.

  • Randy Brown

If you’re going to get fined for kicking something into stands, get your money’s worth out of it. Kick a chainsaw/player/grenade

  • JoeMaMa

It’s not being reported that Jay Z, the UN water rep, is so disgusted with LeBron’s wasteful attitude he won’t let him sign up with the Nets next summer. Let the dominoes fall…

  • mems

wow any other player would have been ejected before he even kicked the bottle. he looked like a spoiled little brat throwing a tantrum on the court

i cant believe lebron would get mad and kick a water cooler!!!! he is supposed perfect. he is not allowed to say anything or open his mouth at all times. right guys……. lebron is easily the most hated dude in the league. includin stern.

Glad he got fined. It was immature and a severe lapse in judgement. Knowing him, it wont ever happen again.

  • gigolo

man..poor decision..poor fans..i didnt even saw one complain including the officer in brown suit. hahahaha not one.

  • BostonBaller

#1 He was fouled on the reach even though he bulled his way to the lane
#2 He pushed the second defender away as he came in with his knee high. lol. (that’s old school. YES!)
#3 I’m sure he isn’t complaining about the fine b/c he did smack the bottle into the stand and it could have hit someone in the eye.
#4 who knows, he may get a late game suspension since the L is feeling pressure from the arenas fallout.
#5 Things happen in the heat of the moment, it wasn’t like he tried to hurt a fan intentionally
#6 Wait until he plays them again….

  • james

stop the double standard sterny boy!

  • robb

Lebron is an @sshol3. How old are you Lebron? physically 25 and mentally 8? or less? As hard as ESPN tries to make people idolize him, this type of behavior makes it perfectly clear: Ladies and gents this jerk is the face of the league, the guy who represents a new generation of superstars. What a shame.

  • Earl

Is Mcdonald’s going to drop him now? :)

  • erich

    25.000$ ???????
    Only in the NBA

  • Tommy Patron

Does Mike Brown ever close his mouth?

  • JoeMaMa

I think Shaq’s going to do something bad and ask for a $25,001 punishment. dude’s gotta be #1 at something.

  • http://www.realcavsfans.com Anton

    Witness Jordan status.

  • Anton

haha that was a patented lebron travel anyways

  • boogster

ha, that couple who got splashed, won`t be keen to get court side seat, to see the golden child anymore.

  • no id

This is what the media reported to us but, in real life Stern didn’t fine King James..The waterboy who put the bottle by the King’s seat was sent to the dungeon and beheaded later that night plus, they fined him b4 he was beheaded..

  • Exist4eva

Does anyone know what the NBA does with the money it collects from fines. They should donate it to the Haitian relief fund

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com DP

LeBron is not the most hated player in the L. that is total nonsense. He is just an egotistical prick you gets on peoples nerves most nights. but what NBA player doesn’t act like that every now and again?

  • http://slamonline.com Dave

The chutzpah of LeBron! Complaining about not getting a call? What, five steps isn’t enough?

  • baller4eva

the nba protects lebron james to much if that was any other player they would of been ejected from the game and suspended.

  • WOODY

It looked to me like two steps and a long jump. Where do you get the five?

  • http://www.twitter.com/PDXGayBball dma

i think the league donates all that money to their dedicated charity.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

What fine did Kobe get for this a few years ago?

  • http://www.need4sheed.com Tarzan Cooper

if that was sheed, he would have been suspended for 3 games. nothing realy crazy here, but hes got to control himself. he complains about every single call, and/or no-call. hes got to have some composure.

  • http://slamonline.com Dave

@Woody – from the countless times when he’s taken five steps and not been called on it?

  • http://ww.kb24.com The Seed

Alot of people don’t like Lebron’s personality, but I can respect his game, I just feel ESPN is trying to push him down our throats and its not working. He is a different dude since he came into the league, now crying over everything, running over folks, takeing 4 steps, crab dribbling and stealing rebounds to try to get his stats up, I watch plenty of games, that he does, I just thing to be a King earn a ring, He has been in league for what six or seven years, and he is never the blame for them losing, always teammates and here’s another excuse, If Lebron was on Lakers they would, OK, then what about the Larry Bird celtics or Magic Johnson Lakers, they were STACK teams. Lets just say I see him not winning a title 1 Magic’s Howard really doesn’t like him( shake my hand fool) 2 Bosh is going to Miami to play with Wade 3 Wade plays his best against him 4 Too many upcoming teams in the East 5 If Lebron stays in Cleveland. ALso kicking a bottle is down Lebron’s lane of who he is, if I can’t get what i want, then just kick it or walk away.

  • letsmotor

When I first saw this headline, it seemed a little ridiculous, but for kicking a water bottle into the stands, 25k seems about right. Worst case scenario, that water bottle hurts a kid.

  • mar

it seems that the moment they increased the fines for what seems like everything players get way more fines to ‘protect the nba reputation. nig!!@ plezz. thayere doin the same thing in tennisto tho i dunno.

  • http://dsjfhklf.com Jukai

I’m sorry, but I’ve seen plenty of players throw stuff into the stands and there is no fine. This 25k stuff is ridiculous and anyone who says things differently is a f*cking hater. Ridiculous.

  • http://slamonline.com Dave

Maybe they changed the rules since then, Jukai?

  • http://dsjfhklf.com Jukai

Dave: If they did, hey, my bad. I think they just fined Lebron because a) the bottle was open so the water hit people and b) so people like The Seed wouldn’t complain about double standards, despite the fact Kobe has thrown things into the stands before (the same way Kobe hasn’t shaken hands before, but Lebron got far more crap for it).

  • Jack

And Kenyon Martin gets $30,000 dollars and an ejection for CLAPPING!

  • foolio_iglesias

What a misappropriation of funds.Randy Moss could have wiped his ass 2 1/2 time with that amount of money….(straight cash, homie!)
