Bobcats Acquire Tyrus Thomas
I simply love the idea of Michael Jordan trying to get through to Tyrus (assuming, of course, that MJ even knows this trade is going down): “The Bobcats, determined to add an athletic big man to their front court, have agreed to acquire Tyrus Thomas in a deal with the Bulls that would send Acie Law, Flip Murray, and a future No. 1 pick to Chicago, a person with knowledge of the situation told CBSSports.com. Charlotte beat out several other suitors — New York, Denver, and San Antonio chief among them — and will have the rest of the season to evaluate the soon-to-be restricted free agent and decide whether to commit to Thomas long-term. Trading Thomas spares the Bulls the embarrassment of losing one of their best players through free agency with no compensation for the second year in a row.”

To date, he’s picked up Stack Jack, Chandler and Tyrus Thomas for the Bobcats while giving up Vlad Rad, Flip Murray and Acie Law.
That sounds like some good work. I mean, MJ has effed up in the past, but you have to give the man credit when he makes good moves.
They were still talking about Chauncey’s “potential” in his fourth year as well…
Thomas is sensitive, but he has talent. I think Flip does one thing well, and that’s score in isos. He doesn’t pass, he doesn’t defend. Maybe now that they’ve gotten rid of Flip they can give DJ more minutes and see what he can really do.
I like a starting five of Felton, Jackson, Wallace, Thomas and Chandler. They can bring Diaw, Nazr and D.J. off the bench. Plus, Thomas and Chandler are expiring deals.
I don’t see how you can honestly look at the situation and say Jordan sucks at being a GM. He ain’t great, like the dudes for the Rockets or Thunder, but he’s better than a lot of cats.
People criticize him when the Bobcats make bad decisions, then say he’s not involved when they make good moves.
I don’t get that. It reminds of Isaiah in New York. Yes, they both made mistakes, but they also made good decisions. It seems like folks are incapable of considering the good and the bad or something.
Jordan’s currently living a life that Muslims hope for when they die.
Thanks for clearing that up. I was unaware of that fact and thought MJ was the GM. If he’s not the GM, then why do people get upset that he’s not involved in daily decisions? What’s the problem?

Isaiah made more than one good decision. He was mediocre, not horrible.
