Gallinari Guarantees 3-Point Contest Victory

Here’s Gallo — AKA, the Greatest Shooter Mike D’Antoni has ever seen — getting his Larry Bird on: “Danilo Gallinari has yet to be informed that he will participate in the 3-point contest at All-Star Weekend in Dallas but word around the league is that the second-year forward will be invited to the event. Reports out of Phoenix claim that former Knicks lottery pick Channing Frye is a participant in the 3-point contest. As of late Sunday, Gallo said he hadn’t heard any news but he did make news by stating ‘I will win it. I’m telling you right now I’m going there to win.”’

    Most Improved Player?

  • Sam Raphael Chadwick Posted: Feb.2 at 10:20 am
I think this years 3 point shoot out will be one of the best with Gallo, Frye hopefully Curry and JJ Reddick ?

  • Krishan Posted: Feb.2 at 10:20 am
And here I was certain that you were going there to lose, danny. You disappoint me.

  • MooButter Posted: Feb.2 at 11:12 am
    Boobie Gibson!

  • vmcb Posted: Feb.2 at 11:48 am
I want all of you to know I am winning this thing. I’m just looking around to see who’s gonna finish up second

  • ClutchPerformer Posted: Feb.2 at 12:12 pm
Andrea Barngiani needs to be in this, this guys range is just flithy, guy could shoot from half and be wet, bring back Ray Allen

  • hooaah Posted: Feb.2 at 12:17 pm
get gallo and bargnani up in that

  • LA Huey Posted: Feb.2 at 12:42 pm
Gallo is easily my favorite Knick (that’s sure to stay after this season). The Rooster! I also agree that Bargs needs in too.

  • mike Posted: Feb.2 at 1:20 pm
    gallooooooooooo

  • Ceevhoopz Posted: Feb.2 at 1:22 pm
Curry will go all Craig Hodges up in that piece if they let him in, haha

  • Flight Posted: Feb.2 at 1:41 pm
Would love to see Bargnani in this, and I hate to say it but I could see Gallo winning it all too.

  • Soundproof Posted: Feb.2 at 1:55 pm
    Rudy Fernandez!!!!!

  • Sporting-Lisbon-Blazers Posted: Feb.2 at 2:11 pm
Rudy Fernandez should shoot it too

  • Marvin Posted: Feb.2 at 2:45 pm
I saw the Knicks play at the Garden on Christmas day against the Miami Heat and it was clear that Gallo is a crowd favorite along with Lee and Robinson. He’s such an unassuming player with the way he runs awkwardly and plays the game but when he turns it on, he’s as capable as anyone in the league to put up big numbers.

  • RoyistheBoy Posted: Feb.2 at 3:34 pm
Boobie HAS to be invited, especially since he’s from Texas.

i suggest the first annual chuckers contest. featuring, kobe, vince, ben gordon, baron, jameer, nate, kevin martin, jason terry, and surprise guest on loan from some team in china, thats right, you guessed it, FRANK STALLONE!, but no seriously steph. the contest would feature each of the players and a 47.9 second clock, one defender, and an open teammate under the basket, see how many shots they can get up, and how many they can make, fun eh?

  • dma Posted: Feb.2 at 4:10 pm
Frye, Gallinari, Redick, Bargnani, Kapono, Terry, probably Dirk and Nash. That’s a lot of white! But I’m rooting for JJ Redick. Dude is cold.

  • niQ Posted: Feb.2 at 4:19 pm
Who won last year? Was it D. Cook?

  • cubes Posted: Feb.2 at 5:35 pm
Tarzan, at lebron to that list, take off everybody else, and lets see how many jumpers he’ll make. (aroun 30%) LMAO

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Feb.2 at 6:54 pm
    Yup, it was Daequan.

  • dmonz Posted: Feb.2 at 7:48 pm
    Add Eddie House,Vujacic, in there!!

  • Logues Posted: Feb.2 at 8:31 pm
they should start an oldschool three point contest, bring back larry legend, reggie, mark price, kenny smith, etc.

  • Michael NZ Posted: Feb.2 at 11:07 pm
Gotta be Redick, Curry, The Rooster and… Frye I guess, since it appears he’s already in. Damn I’d watch that.

  • Anton Posted: Feb.3 at 12:52 am
    Boobs!
Also, Daniel Gibson should be in it.

  • chintao Posted: Feb.3 at 2:54 am
Is it possible that G-man has set the Knicks up for further embarrassment? If he fails to win, I will have to crank-up my “Rooster is a Bust” bandwagon.

  • Jack Posted: Feb.3 at 5:00 am
Thing is, he probably will win. His stroke is possibly the best I’ve ever seen.

  • nastierthanu Posted: Feb.3 at 7:09 am

Thats what i’m talkin about! GET EM GALLO! I think he’ll win it too. Channing Frye has been a beast behind the arch this season too… but.. Channing Frye? Where was all of that at when he played for the Knix? I think Gallo will get busy. If he gets streakin’… forget about it.

  • Gerard Himself Posted: Feb.3 at 12:00 pm
I think Morrow will be in it, since they also picked him to replace Rose in the rookie challenge. It wouldn’t surprise me. And what about Eddie House? For the love of 3′s, let Eddie House shoot.

  • chintao Posted: Feb.3 at 10:26 pm
Hey, Jack… take it easy. There are kids around…. Seriously, though, I want G-man to win. In reality however, I think his legs will get tired after the third rack. I just hope it doesn’t get embarrassing.

  • dotty Posted: Feb.11 at 8:13 pm
Gallinari has already said he will win it. He’s been practicing his speed and timings all week long. D’Antoni said he is the best shooter he has ever seen and will be a great player similar to Nowitzki. He may pull it off, when he is contested..he misses the 3, but maybe here he can make them all. That is all he is good at….he should never never never be a starter…no other coach would have him as their starter…Only D’Antoni. Guess that’s why the Knicks are losing…and all their talent (Robinson, Harington, Huges, Douglas,Hill) sit on the bench…..

  • dotty Posted: Feb.11 at 8:14 pm
Gallo may win….that’s all he can do is throw up uncontested 3′s
