‘Dre Miller’s Reaction to 52-Pt Game: Yawn

Someone should double-check, just to be sure that dude has a pulse: “It was hard to tell what the Trail Blazers were more impressed with Saturday night: Andre Miller’s 52-point outburst in a 114-112 win at Dallas, or his reaction to it. ‘That is one dude who does not care … anything it takes to win, that’s all he cares about,’ Martell Webster marveled. ‘He came in here like nothing happened.’ ‘Yeah,’ LaMarcus Aldridge said. ‘He’s in here acting like he had 10 points. I’m like, ‘Andre, how about some emotion? How about some excitement?’ He said ‘We won.’ In a nutshell, that’s Miller. Quiet, confident, unselfish and about the team. His performance – 22-of-31 from the field, including his only three-point attempt – was amazing as it was varied.”

Who else saw him on NBATV after that game. It was as if they lost, the way he was talking. And Eric Snow was like “Yo Dre, Sup” and he replies by saying “Sup”, again, with no emtion.

I think Eric Snow was disrespected haha

Now, only if he could do that consistantly… I’ve always liked his game and it’s a shame he hasn’t got more opportunities out there. Maybe this changes something or maybe he’ll be traded. In any event it was a great performance.

Andre Miller should be a role model for all semi-fat kids playing basketball. You guys can make it too! (but i will still have fun dunking on you)

  • http://www.another48minutes.com Gerard Himself

another response from Miller to explain what happened was: “I just kept shooting”, yeah Dre, we got that.

  • NJ4Life

And he wonders why no one likes/cares about him. he pushes himself into irrelevancy.

BREAKING NEWS: This is all a lie. From the Bobcats-Blazers preview on NBA.com: “”I’ve had a few heated nights in my career, but I think this was one of those nights where I just didn’t stop shooting,” Miller said. “The other nights when I was hot, I stopped myself from shooting the ball. …Tonight was the night where I just kept doing it. I just didn’t settle.”"

    Andre “The Enigma” Miller

  • cramzy

remember when he got booed at the rookie game for laying it up on a break away? This is what he does. Can we get a Sam I Am big balls dance? A KG profanity tirade? A Dwade this is my house? A Black Mamba he cant guard me/finger wave/scowl face? A Reggie Miller choke? A ‘Toine Walker shimmy? Something Dre. Something?!!!..that is all

  • LeoneL

A little fist pump would not hurt either..lol

  • UnRel

i remember him getting boo’d.. that’s all i really remember about him.. i guess he gets on the ‘i can’t believe he got 50′ list.. with nick anderson, dana baros, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf and cedi’ ceballos..

  • http://gmail dirty frank

Add Tony Delk to that list.

  • Cizzo

Do it everyday about the sametime no need for celebration especially if baskeball is your job!!

  • riggs

so let me get this straight, if a player talks alot or does dances and poses and mean mugs he should shut up and play. but when a player shuts up and plays and is quiet and nonchalant he should open his damn mouth? cant win with you people.

  • pennydunk_1

    Willie Burton anyone?

  • Sporting-Lisbon-Blazers

this coment list is just all idiots. thats the way the man is, let it go, fu(king ignorant americans, to you everything has to be show off! go score 52 in an NBA game with 7 freebies and 1 3pointer, without jumping..YOU SHOULD TRY AND LEARN WATCHING ONE OF THE LAST OLD SCHOOL POINT GUARDS IN THE GAME!

  • LA Huey

UnRel, I don’t think the artist formerly known as chris jackson deserves to be on that list. Dude would light it up in college and I’m surprised he didn’t do it more often in the pros.

  • thalilbigkahuna

Who would’ve thought, when Allen Iverson got traded for Andre Miller, that ‘Dre would be more relevant in 2010? That’s weird.

  • rob

It was a fluke, Miller knows it and he has the intelligence to handle it calmly.

  • UnRel

Huey.. you’re right.. that’s also why i didn’t put tony delk on the list cause that kid was buckets.. chris jax had game.. good ol’ lsu… i actually liked his style.. that instant offense shoot first, pass 4th idea.. i actually remember his 50+ point outburst.. dude was amazing.. but to be honest.. his name was just fun to type..

  • GV13

I like that, id much prefer him to be calm and quiet than dance around like a bellend or scowl at people like they pissed on his christmas tree. quiet confidence is the way.

  • http://dsjfhklf.com Jukai

It’s not a freakin’ fluke. When you score 50 points in a game, it ain’t a fluke.

  • http://gmail dirty frank

Agreed Jukai. A shot can be a fluke. A game? Not so much.

  • TyMo

Out of all the players who I think would score 50+ points in an NBA game, Dre Miller was about 173 on my list.

  • iLL wiLL

    That hookshot was so gangsta!

  • Jack

LOL @ Nupe. “If only he done that consistently”. Yeah, it’s not hard to consistently score 52 points.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Miller is one of the most underrated players in the NBA, in my opinion. For his career, definitely. Even led the league in assists once.

  • hooaah

    who was guarding this guy?

  • Julio Mathieu

Andre Miller is a cerebral player so it doesn’t shock me the least that he scored 52. Very undervalued, underappreciated and underrated. He is a professional in every sense of the word.

  • nastierthanu

I always love cats that get to the bucket. He’s been doin it since utah. Here’s a brotha that played college ball in utah. I’m sure he feels kinda like an outsider which may explain the his style. Happy for dre he’s earned it

  • http://www.twitter.com/PDXGayBball dma

naw the best quote had to be i think Rudy Fernandez “he scored 52 points without jumping”. dude just got to the rim whenever he wanted. and by no means is he fast, travels, carries, or whatever. he’s that guy that plays at the gym and doesn’t sweat, but just kills everyone.

  • sheedfan

Dre is sooo chill. He’s got it dialed in, that cat is methodical. One of the last old school point gaurds is right!! I Loved seeing that 52 point effort.

  • therighttoremainsalient
