  ONE OF 2 THINGS IS HAPPENING: 1-Mike D is sooooo stupid he runs a fast paced offense almost exclusevly for a guy who didnt play in more than a year AND HAD MAJOR KNEE SURGERY!!i mean, Wilson Chandler got like 5 shots yesterday, Gallo 8 and DLee 12, meanwhile EddieFreakinHouse is jackin up bad shots like is VinceCarter or something!! so Mac is tired, hope so…2- this is something that has to do with the knee problem and if it is, is really fucked up, when you have major knee surgery you need to put lots of muscle back around the knee 2 protect it, cause you lose a lot of it during the all process…hope hes just tired or is an insignificant knee to knee bang up thing though..

  @tavoris – thank you for bringing a voice of reason. In Tracy’s first game, he did was most players do in their first game back from an extended absence. He played very well running on hype and adrenaline. The next game, reality set in and the adrenaline didn’t cover up the knee pain. McGrady just needs to play less minutes, and ease into the games. He spent his down-time working out with Tim Grover in Chi. It’s not like Grover is some bum who wouldn’t know if McGrady was ready or not. McGrady just needs some time. I’m not an expert, but I can’t find a reason why wearing a knee brace would be a terrible idea though.

  The title of this article is misleading. McGrady’s not “hurt again”…his knee is sore. The guy just came back from major knee surgery and it’s going to be awhile before he works himself into playing shape. It’s all just part of the process of coming back…this really isn’t a big deal at all.

  Mike D is (a dumb fuk) not doin what he should do: play him like 4max minutes per quarter…i saw both games, he looked tired as sh1t and yesterday was limping.. YOU CAN NOT HAVE MAJOR KNEE SURGERY, BE OUT 4MORE THAN A YEAR and play like its 2003!! just better be nothing to do with what was repaired, cause thats his career on the line right there..YOU HAVE TO BUILD MUSCLE AFTER A KNEE SURGERY TO PROTECT IT, cause it all gets weak in the process, BUT IM SURE TIM GROVER KNOWS A LITLE BETTER THAN I DO. hope mac gets healthy.

  Having torn my ACL and then being frustrated about not being able to play pick-up games with friends, I feel for T-Mac. Saturday’s game, and certain moments in last night’s game show he is still very talented and possess a great amount of basketball smarts (pulling up with Salmons on his back to draw a foul). It has to do with muscles having atrophied following surgery and him needing to build up the surrounding muscle to further protect the knee. The soreness he feels following playing and the tenderness following bumps has alot to do with scar tissue and nerve endings being cut. It might be worth him wearing a knee pad to protect against sharp knocks, rather than a knee brace. I think T-Mac has the potential to be our next Larry Johnson – a player forced to change because of injury, but manages to reinvent himself and proves valuable as a role player. D’ Antoni just needs to bring him on slower.

  @droxford: I read that thing. and I know Adelman and and Houston´s players arent A-holes. they actually seem to be hard working good guys (even though i hate their guts for winning that playoff series vs my team last year)…so I come to the conclusion Mac´s an overpayed/fragile/extremly talented player.. thing is, I CAN NOT BLAME A GUY FOR BEING FRAGILE FISICALLY, though that can be worked a litle bit too, BUT HES CLEARLY FRAGILE PHSYCOLOGICALY, and for that he should be blamed. now i see why he was never out of the first round. I DONT WANT ANNYONE LIKE THAT ON MY TEAM, EVEN IF HES THAT TALENTED!

  If I were on a badly coached team thats not getting to the playoffs and had only about 23 games left and a summer shopping spree coming. I’d do the same thing he’s done in the past when my teams were not gonna make the playoffs.   I have the same issues in my knee as T-Mac does. It’s not the impact that causes the pain and swelling as much as it is the right-left jarring in the joint itself. A brace will help with that a little, but won’t stop the problem.
  Honestly, if I were him I’d be thinking hard about the rest of my life about now.
