Your Skills Challenge Participants

Some of the League’s best floor generals will face off in Dallas: “Bucks rookie point guard Brandon Jennings will have a busy all-star weekend. Not only will Jennings play in the Rookie Challenge game on Friday night, but he has been named to compete in the Skills Challenge on Saturday night in Dallas. Jennings will compete against three past champions in the guard competition, meeting defending champ Derrick Rose, 2005 champion Steve Nash and 2008 champion Deron Williams. The Skills Challenge features four players competing in a two-round timed obstacle course which has dribbling, passing and shooting stations.”

I’d love to see Jennings win it, but if his FG% of late is any indication he probably won’t make it out of round one.

As awesome as this will be, they should have a skills challenge with Shaq, Glen Davis, Eddy Curry and Sean May!
Or maybe some old timers. I’d like to see Havlicek, Barry, Gervin, and Dr. J please.

Rose will win (again) easily, he’s the fastest there AND he’s got a shot.

    ROSEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • God Shamgod

The day Eddy Curry is in a skills competition of any kind will be the day Krispy Kreme’s become healthy for you.

steve nash is too old for this

jukai they used to have old skool games with veteran retirees but that didn’t work

ZING! Good one @God Shamgod! But this contest may be the most intreaging of the evening… all the guards are taylor made for this event, you just need to complete all the task w/o mistakes! Im goin wit D-Will’s tho!

I have to give this one to Rose again. All 4 of these guards can ball tho, but Rose is quick and accurate. Jennings is lightning fast, but that may slow him down from making the accurate pass through those targets and stuff. Don’t sleep on Nash either. He’s back.

ab_40: They scrapped it because of injuries on the court and the trouble of actually getting people to play.

hey its been rumored that rose wont participate in the rookie challenge. does anyone know if this is true???
they say he will skip out because of the all star game.
please let me know if these accusations are true.

    Rondo should’ve been invited.

  • J-Ro

Jennings will win with a flashy no-look behind the back bounce pass through the tire!

These guys actually gonna try? Instead of the usual too cool for school slow-mo routine?

I remember watching the highlights of the last Legends game. I recall someone airballing from 10 feet and the coach (I think it was Bob Cousy?) yelling “No shooting! No more shooting!” to his whole team.
But man, how I’d love to have seen if Wilt could still play…

@Moose – Why? So Rondo can spend 10 minutes trying to hit that top of the key jumper?

  • Fernando Sanchez

    ab_40???? skrew you…. and tealish… love it

  • wilz

its steves trun to nail it again

  • Jack

D-Will for sure. I would have loved to have seen Ty Lawson in this.

I think this will be very close, Nash is a shooter and one of the best passers and dribblers, Derrick Rose is quick, Jennings is Fast and can shoot and Deron has the skills to do this quickly as he has proved once already. its gunna be close

  • bnets
