‘Dirtiest’ Players: Reggie Evans, Ron Artest, …

Reggie and Ron-Ron headline the list (from a poll conducted by SI). Who else would you include on there?: “They just can’t stop talking about the defense of first-year Laker Ron Artest. ‘Ron Artest has ways of getting under your chin — and your skin,’ was the way Indiana Pacers coach Jim O’Brien described the former Pacer named this week in a Sports Illustrated poll of players as second-dirtiest in the league. He’s well behind Toronto’s Reggie Evans, on top with 21 percent of the vote to Artest’s 13. But interestingly, the Lakers have two of the top five with Kobe Bryant earning the fifth spot with 4 percent of the vote.”

@darksaber, I love the Chris Paul Isiah comparison.
And did anti-crust really compare Nash’s D to Stockton’s? That there is my vote for dumbest observation ever made on SLAM

Reggie Evans is getting a bum rap on this thing. Obviously this all started when he came in contact with Chris Cayman’s gonads but anyone who knows Reggie could figure that one out. Use your head! He was hoping to reach through Cayman’s legs and dislodge the ball. (The ball that had Spalding written on it!)He played here at Iowa and was agressive but certainly not dirty. Same with Artest. No one works harder than Evans and this unbeatable work ethic is mistaken for dirty play. Don’t try to get in his way when he is after a rebound but that doesn’t make him dirty.
