Hedo Turkoglu Silently Accepts Bench Role

These days, you won’t hear a negative peep out of Hedo about his new role on the Raptors, at least not publicly anyway. From the Toronto Star: “Like all good sons, Hedo Turkoglu will abide by the wishes of his dad. As he moves into a new role with the Raptors, a backup for now as the team makes its final push to the NBA playoffs, Turkoglu is done talking about roles and “ball” and his place in the big Toronto picture. For now, he’ll do what they want, and just play. ‘My dad told me silence is always a good solution,’ said Turkoglu, who once again will come off the bench when the Raptors face the Los Angeles Clippers at the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday night. ‘So from now on … “‘

He’s not being silent. His mouth is just full of that delicious Pizza Pizza pizza. With the creamy garlic dipping sauce.

JoeMaMa wins. I was going to say something similar.

At least he’s not starting for a contender in Orlando.

Turkoglu knows what time it is. He’s been around long enough to know. He’s content.

If they NBA had an award that was the polar opposite of Most Improved Player (ie biggest disappointment), Hedo would be the frontrunner. The guy doesn’t even seem to care they virtually EVERYBODY thinks he was a catastrophic waste of money. As a Raptors fan, this really makes me wish the NBA didn’t have guaranteed contracts. Damn you, Player’s Association.

Guys, I’m writing from Turkey. I don’t understand you and Mr. Triano. What Hedo do to you ? Hedo must be leader role of the team. I think Calderon do not like my man. Bosh, too. But I know Hedo want to give everything.Yaa forget English; Hidayet Torontoyu seviyor ve lider rolüne soyunmak istiyor bırakın istediğini yapsın, 4.periyot adamını kazanmak istiyorsanız calderonu uzak tutun. Bosh’a da sakin olmasını söyleyin..

Take it all easy! Hedo is worth every penny Toronto is paying him. I am disappointed myself about the way he is playing this season but I know it has his reasons. Hedo still has not found his role in the Team and after a sensational year with the Magics he needs to find a different game for a different team. The big guys like Bosh or Bargnani are no typical Players for their positions. Both are shooting to much and are not forcing the inside game. Look what Hedo did last year? When the game was close, he was the man who got the ball and made shots for Orlando in close games. I havent seen him once doing this in Toronto. If u trust him enough, he will pay it back with wins. If u handle him like Toronto and the coach is doing right now, u will get not much of him. The only thing that is worse in Hedos game is his shot selection. A guy his size and abilities needs to score more with easy shots. By the way, the others are playing bad basketbll, too. Bosh is nothing more than a other 20-10 Go-to-guy like other teams have and Bargnani is having his ups and downs, too. The only solid player in the Toronto basketball team right now is Calderon. As a Toronto Fan & Hedo Fan I hope, that they will do the playoffs and Hedo can show for what the Raptors had signed him.
