Is Tony Parker’s [Regular] Season Done?

San Antonio may not have the services of its point guard until the postseason. The Express-News reports: “Parker suffered a fracture to the fourth metacarpal on his shooting hand near the end of the first half of Saturday’s win at Memphis and could miss up to six weeks — a timetable that would keep him out at least until the playoffs. And so tonight, the Spurs return to Quicken Loans Arena, site of the clinching game of the 2007 NBA Finals, without the Most Valuable Player of that series. ‘Nobody in the league is going to feel sorry for us,’ Manu Ginobili said. ‘We’ve got to go compete and try and win anyway.’ Parker’s numbers have been down from their career peak last season — dropping to 16.5 points and 5.7 assists — but he is still integral to the Spurs’ operation. Certainly, they would prefer to have every possible weapon in their holster against the Cavaliers, who boast the NBA’s best overall record (49-15).”

maybe blessing in disguise. Manu will need to handle the ball more, take the initiative. If manu and RJ wake up, with the timmy constant being there (he is like the g-force of basketball), Spurs can be really dangerous postseason

It’s time to see what George Hill is really about

I’m not too worried about this out of all the Spurs players getting injured, i’d choose TP, becuase George Hill numbers are usually round about TPs when he gets the PT

This isn’t too bad. Instead of having Mr. Longoria in and out of the line up, it gets him time to rest his ankle and plantar fasciatis. Also, I agree on the point about Manu. I think it’s a good idea to have Manu in the starting unit. He’s not as spry as before and just can’t come in midway through the second quarter and contribute, needs some time to rev that engine up.
