Joel Przybilla Re-Injures Knee … in the Shower

This would be funny, were it not so tragically sad. The Oregonian has the details on “Ghostface’s” slip-up: “Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla on Saturday reinjured his surgically-repaired right knee and will require another surgery, the team said Sunday. Przybilla reinjured the knee Saturday morning when he slipped while entering the shower at his home in Milwaukee, Wisc. He flew to Portland on Saturday and had a magnetic resonance imaging test Sunday morning at the office of team doctor Don Roberts. The MRI showed a tear of the patella tendon that was repaired. Przybilla, 30,  ruptured his right patella tendon in a Dec. 22 game at Dallas. He was 10 weeks post-operation and had just started to walk without a brace.”

Wow…the Blazers aren’t quite the new Clippers, but this has been a tragically bad year for them injury-luck wise.

That’s what you get for rubbing one out in the shower, son.

I can only draw one conclusion from this: The Rose Garden was built on top of an Indian Burial Ground.

What a bad break for him. His original injury was a freak. To have two freak injuries to the same knee. Unbelievable. Many of things must be racing through this kid’s mind right about now.

i hope this teaches that if there’s any part of the team worth overpaying for, it
s your medical\training staff…and they don’t even count towards the salary cap! team gimp not looking good.

Man this is awful, the word from the insiders around town is that there is a good chance this will be a career ending injury and if not forever the recovery will be at least 8-9 months so essentially the bulk of next season. No ill will towards my man but hes basically going to be just a 6.7 mil cap drain next year when he most assuredly accepts his player option in the postse

    Meant to say post season
