T-Wolves ‘Defense’ Gives Up 152 Points to Suns

Talk about getting steamrolled. The Arizona Republic has the graphic details: “The Suns kept trying to make the steep climb up the Western Conference’s mountain Tuesday night, and the Minnesota Timberwolves went off the mountain’s cliff. The Suns annihilated Minnesota 152-114 at US Airways Center, surpassing the NBA season best of 146 points set by Golden State (also against Minnesota) and Atlanta (against Toronto). Phoenix scored at least 35 points in each quarter for the first time since 1972.”

PHX was getting lay-ups or open 3pt looks after 2 passes even in the first quarter. Frye was left open to bomb away from the right side of the 3pt line every single possession.
Nash was brilliant, and Amare decided to run back defensively.
It helped that Minnesota was anaemic from beyond the arc when they needed scores, and it seemed as if putting up a hand in defense was going to get them fined.
Brewer got Robin Lopez GOOD though.

You could tell Alando was missing the good ol’ days. That Lou Amundson is nifty.

Now we’ll get to hear how the Suns are a potential threat to any team in the first round. That may be true…if one of those teams was the T-Wolves.

Good to see that G Hill is doing well after his hard fall the other night. Western Conference watch out, GO SUNS!
