Tyreke Evans Plans to Return Tomorrow
‘Reke hopes all goes well at practice today — ie. no one hits him in the mouth — so that he can rejoin the Kings’ lineup tomorrow night as they go up against the Celtics. From the Sac Bee: “Sometimes advice can fall into the ‘duh’ category. Take this bit of wisdom passed along to Tyreke Evans, who missed his third consecutive game Wednesday against the New Jersey Nets because of a concussion caused when Milwaukee forward Ersan Ilyasova elbowed him in the mouth. ‘They told me I’ve got to be careful and try to not let anybody hit me in the mouth,’ Evans said. Evans, however, does plan to practice today for the first time since being hurt last Friday. If all goes well during today’s practice in Boston, Evans hopes to be back in the lineup when the Kings play the Celtics on Friday. He said he had done some conditioning to stay in shape. ‘We’ll take it a day at a time and it’s all up to the doctors,’ Kings coach Paul Westphal said.”
