Gilbert Arenas Sued by Gun Company

More guns, more problems for Gil. TMZ is on the case: “We’ve obtained a lawsuit filed against Arenas by Tactical Operations — a company that sells high-end guns. According to the lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Arenas bought five custom Beretta pistols with five silencers in February of 2006.  Arenas paid for the guns, BUT….Tactical Operations claims Arenas never took possession of the weapons — and owes the company over $70,000 in storage fees and interest.”

I have a feeling Arenas will not want to see/hear about another gun after he gets out.

Here we go again, more guns.

  • jdubbs29

Does it really cost $70K to store 5 guns? When they probably sell (and store) thousands?

    That’s b.s…I hope they lose.

@Nigel: Good point. Maybe they just needed to get the lawyers involved too.

This is bs. 70gs to do nothing. They see whats going on and want to be greedy. But, this is america what did u expect? This is the place where u can sue wacarnolds for their coffee being hot.

Gilbert is too fun loving for silencers. When I see him shooting his guns, I see him enjoying the extra pop. You’re not a hush hush kinda guy, Gil!!!

  • http://gmail dirty frank

I’ll store your guns for less!

  • http://www.hoopsvibe.com/features/overdribbling chiqo

he’s got two gun charges on his record now. what is he supposed to do, go pick them up? if there’s not a provision in his probation that he has to stay 50 yards away from gun stores at all times, there should be.

  • The Philosopher

@chiqo: Maybe he’ll have someone pick them up.

  • Lebran

    @ The Philosopher

Or maybe he should just dig out that returns policy and send them muthf*ckas BACK.

They keep the product and they get paid for nothing. Storage fees my @ss.
F*CK THE GUN COMPANIES in the first place, and f*ck the stupid @ss system that allows them to even pull this kind of bullsh!t.

  • Chris

Heard a rumour that the law states he cannot collect all 5 at the same time, so the company are going to leave them on a chair with a note saying ‘Pick one’.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

    LOL nicely done, Chris.

  • Buppie

Sorry, hard to feel sympathy for Gil. FIVE SILENCERS…
wtf? Can anyone explain to me exactly who (other than maybe special forces) needs a silencer? For any weapon, let alone these particularly powerful hand cannons? Only a criminal, as far as I can see. Somebody please explain.

  • MikeC.

@Buppie – You beat me to that one. I was going to ask why in the eff anyone would need silencers!?! Why is it even legal to sell silencers to non-military or non-law enforcement people? Can’t blame Gil for legally purchasing any product, as long as the permits were all sorted out (we all know he has issues with that). Why is it legal to sell silencers? So people can murder while being courteous to the guy next door who works shift-work? WTF?

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

LOL co-sign Mice C. and Buppie.

I’m all for people’s second amendment rights but this is getting ridiculous. Sounds to me like Gil just got these guns cause he thought they were “cool” and not for any practical purpose. Five silencers? Word?

  • dankNugs

why are people allowed to by silencers? how is that protecting them?

Imagine; a gun company suing it’s customers. What a world.
