Jazz to Face Nuggets Without Andrei Kirilenko

Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur are already dinged up, and now, even more bad news for Utah: AK-47′s services will not be available for the first-round series against Denver. The Deseret News reports: “Jazz small forward Andrei Kirilenko has re-injured his strained right calf and will miss the first round of the Jazz’s playoff series against the Denver Nuggets. Team spokesman Jonathan Rinehart said Kirkilenko got hurt during a ‘light workout’ on Thursday, and an MRI exam showed that he had strained the calf in a different part of the muscle than he had two previous times he’s injured the same calf. Rinehart said Kirilenko will be out for at least the next two weeks.”

    If you don’t take enough performance-enhancing drugs in NBA (and American sports in general) you just can’t play enough games, as it seems.
    I hope it’ll make Stern & the rest think about changing things in the NBA. This year has seen SO MANY big stars hurt themselves, you can’t act af you don’t know. Of course, LBJ will never hurt himself because he’s a robot and can take as many steps as he wants to (and he has such a strong bodyguard!) but for the rest of the League, it’s just tiring.
    Just think about how many games Parker, Gasol, Kobe and some others had to play these last years…

    No wonder LeBronTosaure is out for “acting” this summer.

    Irfan we just saw the b*tch in you. Ah well now the field is sort of even. I hope K-Mart doesn’t get hurt. Booz eats andersen for breakfast, lunch and desssert. But if there is a good test of the nuggets it’s this. They have to step up defensively to stop that flex ofense they run all the time. Utah is gonna wish they never traded corey brewer. Melo is going in another gear in the playoffs everybody not talking about him and the nuggets not letting him get his touches in the fourth is gonna change in and after this series.
