Kobe Bryant: Top Selling Jersey Again

Bean tops LeBron in terms of jersey sales for the second straight year, if you care about that sort of thing. And I know you do: “The Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant once again tops the NBA’s list of most popular jerseys, where he has reigned as No. 1 since the start of the 2008-09 season. The list is based on sales at the NBA Store in New York City and on NBAStore.com since the start of the 2009-10 NBA season through April 2010. Both stores are having record sales years with a combined increase of 20 percent over last year. Thirteen players competing in the 2010 Playoffs appear on this year’s list. The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James remains No. 2 and the Boston Celtics’ Kevin Garnett climbed one spot from last year to No. 3. Chicago Bulls sophomore Derrick Rose continues to make a name for himself, coming in at No. 4, while the Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard rounds out the top 5. The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant debuts in the top 10 for the first time, landing at No. 9, while the Denver Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony moves from No. 15 to No. 10.”

hahaha! no wonder the chump wants to change numbers. hopefully his jockers will buy another of the queens jerseys. even the chinese refuse to wear his jerseys. kobe is still who people look up to even how hard nike and the nba try to sell this gorilla. they should reconsider and focus their buildup on durant instead when kobe is gone. lebron is boring

Hell yeah, my boy Rose is climbing up the charts! I have two Rose jerseys – one I can wear and one he signed for me. I’m surprised LeBron is #2, actually, considering all the haters out there and all the backlash from the Magic series, the Crawford dunk, and everything else.

    People still wear jerseys?

KB24 most underrated player in the game right now. Dude establishes himself as the greatest player of his generation, last 2 years: back to back finals a chip n a pod… Er I mean Russel, WITH several REAl injurys (lookin at you LeBron, fake ass elbow ish) puts LA on his back in the first half of the season. Did I mention they’re back in the hunt for another chip? But 1st sign of his many injurys finally realistically forcing him to alter his game, and he’s done? Have we ever seen another player able to maintain an eliete game despite such serious injurys? 2 years now, and it’s just starting to show. Kobe is a legend. There’s no stat for what he’s done these last 2 hrs. But now chuck Barkley needs to put out a memo that his days as a superstar are O.V.E.R. Can’t wait til after the offseason for Kobe to get his first chance to take a break n recover in the last 3 years befrore he came out wit that stuff. Sounds a lil premature. Kobes always been hated. But now people are forgetting what this guy is capable of when health. There has Never been a basketball player this good, this long, that people have been soo quick to underrate.

Where’s Deron Williams the best point guard in the league!!!!!!!!!!

  • ENDS

that is preatty shocking seeing that the cavs give you 17(,000) jersey choices and styles to chose from and Kobe has only the Purple, Gold, And white jerseys.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

I agree, where is Deron Williams?!

  • bill breedley

no matter how many jerseys cleveland comes out with, lebron only has so many fans who will buy his jersey. even his weak attempt to copy kobe and change numbers next year will not jack the demand much.

    Wheres Delonte on the list?

Last week, we took some friends to a new restaurant, ‘Steve’s Place,’
and noticed that the waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his
    shirt pocket.
It seemed a little strange. When the busboy brought our water and
utensils, I observed that he also had a spoon in his shirt pocket.
Then I looked around and saw that all the staff had spoons in their
pockets. When the waiter came back to serve our soup I inquired, ‘Why
    the spoon?’
‘Well, ‘he explained, ‘the restaurant’s owner hired Andersen
Consulting to revamp all of our processes. After several months of
analysis, they concluded that the spoon was the most frequently
dropped utensil. It represents a drop frequency of approximately 3
    spoons per table per hour.
If our personnel are better prepared, we can reduce the number of
trips back to the kitchen and save 15 man-hours per shift.’
As luck would have it, I dropped my spoon and he replaced it with his
spare. ‘I’ll get another spoon next time I go to the kitchen instead
of making an extra trip to get it right now..’ I was impressed.
I also noticed that there was a string hanging out of the waiter’s fly.
Looking around, I saw that all of the waiters had the same string
hanging from their flies. So, before he walked off, I asked the
waiter, ‘Excuse me, but can you tell me why you have that string right
‘Oh, certainly!’ Then he lowered his voice. ‘Not everyone is so
observant. That consulting firm I mentioned also learned that we can
    save time in the restroom.
By tying this string to the tip of our you-know-what, we can pull it
out without touching it and eliminate the need to wash our hands,
shortening the time spent in the restroom by 76.39%.’
I asked quietly, ‘After you get it out, how do you put it back?’
‘Well,’ he whispered, ‘I don’t know about the others, but I use the spoon.’

Dacre, I cannot deny that you have made my morning. Thank you.

Funny!- where’s AI. At home being a civilian. If Deron Williams played elsewhere, he would probably attract more of a fan base. Gotta get out of boring .ss Utah.

@J-City… Rudy Gay?.. he’s ranked somewhere around Luther Head..
