Larry Brown Feels Disrespected by Orlando

Down a game in the series, LB is pulling out the motivational ploys for his troops as they look to tie up the series tonight. From the Charlotte Observer: “Charlotte Bobcats coach Larry Brown’s message to the players Tuesday, as he assembled them for practice: ‘Yesterday, Orlando took the day off. That’s how [expletive deleted] seriously they’re taking us.’ Now, it’s certainly Magic coach Stan Van Gundy’s call whether his team would benefit more from practice or rest Monday, and there were two days between games. But you can’t blame Brown for seeking motivation wherever he can find it.”

The only way Larry could motivate us more right now is by turning into the hulk and climb mount everest. When he reaches the top he would play a guitar (on fire) and sacrifice a baby to the gods………….. This will have to do i suppose

    Damn! it was a joke

Motivate Chandler jesus, I know he is about as brittle as greg oden but he went from 10 and 10 with a block + to 6 and 6 playing like 20 minutes a game. I really hope they can manage to get a franchise player soon or at least a post up player, this rag tag team of quality role players won’t ever be more than a 1 and done 6-8th seed. Besides, orlando is very easy to hate and I would love to seem more competition in the east other than cleveland.

But Rob… your comment wasn’t a joke. The joke lay in the fact that most of us know what AI’s views are on practice in the light that he was essentially a better player for NOT practicing, timed with the comparison that Van Gundy wasn’t worried about practicing and Larry Brown drawing a long bow that their not practicing denotes a percieved lack of concern with play. At the end of the day, the Magic have played 83 games to get to this point and have probably practiced twice as much in that time…. so yeah, if your team really needs to practice at this stage in the season….your probably not actually in the playoff chase………………………but keep trying Rob. You’ll get a nice little supporting joke in there at some point. Maybe try the link with Charles Barkley swearing on national TV?
