Nicolas Batum’s Season Over?

Nicolas Batum tried to play through his shoulder injury on Thursday, but re-aggravated the injury. Don’t be surprised if his Playoffs are over: “Nicolas Batum only played in the first half of Thursday’s Game 3 loss to the Suns, sitting out the entire second half with pain in his banged-up right shoulder. Batum said he took “two or three bumps” in that first half and that it “hurt, a lot.” Batum hurt his surgically-repaired right shoulder in Tuesday’s loss in Game 2.”

Figures. Thanks for a fun season basketball gods.

  • Lucas

Portland’s trainers better be the hightest paid in the NBA.

  • Jas

With or without him, the Blazers season is over.

  • vtrobot

    wow. just wow.

  • Drew

He shouldn’t have tried to come back and rush it.

  • Yann Blavec

    “ça craint!!!”

  • LA Huey

Paul Allen must be doing something in the shadows. The Blazers aren’t boyscout but they should have better karma than this.

indeed ça craint (it sucks). Shoulders injuries are so bad, it reminds me of webber’s one before he truly engaged himself into decent surgery and REST !

Give us nico back for the national team !!!

Seriously guys. Seriously. Just…just take the series off. No one’s gonna blame you. Call it a season and forget about everything. Like nothing happened in 09-10. Nope nothing, can’t remember a thing.

Wow. just imagine the season the blazers would have had with no injuries at all. They had 50 + wins with injuries. Just rest guys. Next year’s yours.
And the best is that they can still go to the second round.

It’s really not that bad. We have only lost our starting center (Oden), backup center (Ghost Face), starting SF (Outlaw), backup SF (Batum), backup-turned second starting SF (Batum again), starting SG (Roy), backup SG (Rudy), starting SG again (Roy again), and our head coach. And we’ve only lost 40% of our starting lineup for the first round of the playoffs. Really…you’d think that the a$$hats that ripped the Sonics out of Seattle would fall prey to this, but apparently the basketball gods decided to take out their anger on the only remaining team in the Pacific NW. Meanwhile the former Sonics do not suffer a single injury while we field a virtual M.A.S.H. unit every night. But at least I’m not bitter.

blazers trainers should be the lowest paid! they should be doing more to help them prevent injuries.

maybe he came back too soon. CWebb had that problem, skipped a year and came back to get traded to Sacto and destroy the league.
