Bosh’s Wish List: Bulls, Lakers, Heat or Knicks

by Ryne Nelson

Chris Bosh has apparently compiled a list of five teams he’d be willing to join, according to Chad Ford of ESPN.com:

The list of five teams — Toronto plus the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and New York Knicks, sources said — was given to Toronto management in case the Raptors want to construct a sign-and-trade deal (assuming Bosh doesn’t re-sign with Toronto).

Bosh likes that option, sources told Ford, because he’d get one more year on his contract and could make more money.

Bosh’s agent said yesterday that the list of teams does not exist, but we wouldn’t be surprised if those are the five teams Bosh is considering.

An unnamed source also said that if LeBron James signs in New York or Chicago, Bosh will likely land there as well. The Lakers mention would likely entail a sign-and-trade for Andrew Bynum.

I think he included the Lakers just so it would appear that he’s not all about the money.

    Vin Baker Jr.

  • BackInBlack Posted: May.22 at 11:24 am
He also said the raptors, a sign and trade

  • NotebookNick Posted: May.22 at 12:08 pm
I’m *not* the unnamed source, but I’ve been saying the same things for six weeks. Wow. Shocking.

  • Goat Posted: May.22 at 12:09 pm
Yeah, the article says and names four teams, but the headline completely disregards the Raptors. What’s the deal with that? Most Raptors fans, yours truly included, have already come to terms with the fact that we will almost for surely be losing him. But some of still have hope, and headlines like this sure don’t help!

  • baller Posted: May.22 at 12:16 pm
The Raptors suck, if you’ve been following what Bosh has said there is no chance that he stays so its no surprise that the headlines are so dismissive of Toronto.

  • Enigmatic Posted: May.22 at 12:29 pm
As good as he is, I’m really REALLY hoping for LeBron in Chicago. BUT, if we can sign him straight up and acquire Bron in a sign-and-trade, or vice versa, we’d most definitely go for that scenario. We’d be INSTANT CONTENDERS. But I’ll believe that when I see it.

  • ramn Posted: May.22 at 12:32 pm
Raptors will sign Bosh. (i live in Toronto so that explains the unrealistic optimism)

  • swisha sweet Posted: May.22 at 12:37 pm
his best bet is to stay n the east hook up with wade and compete for championdhips.

  • TADOne Posted: May.22 at 1:07 pm
“I need to play with either Bron, Kobe or Dwyane, or i’m going to take my ball and go home!” Bosh did not neccasarily say to his agent.

  • hoodsnake Posted: May.22 at 1:33 pm
    Cosign swisha

  • jc23 Posted: May.22 at 1:53 pm
Listen Lebron wants to win and if bosh is looking for a sign and trade then the best(only) option is Chicago. They have the cap space for Lebron and the player’s/contract’s for a sign and trade deal. But, there are to many variables for anybody to know for sure.

  • Seth Posted: May.22 at 1:58 pm
Miami would be perfect for him alongside Wade but I can’t blame the guy for wanting to go where LeBron goes. Wade and Bosh would make Miami instant contenders.

  • L Posted: May.22 at 2:08 pm
    TADOne is exactly correct.

  • ripslam Posted: May.22 at 3:03 pm
Bosh is the biggest tool ever.

  • Will Posted: May.22 at 3:04 pm
Come to Denver! we”ll give you K-Mart and JR! Go Nuggets!

  • DigitalDee Posted: May.22 at 5:15 pm
Will, why would Toronto take an oft injured K-mart, not to mention both these players are head cases… Not the type of blood you want to inject into a locker room.

  • RedRum Posted: May.22 at 5:35 pm
I don’t know the financial details, bow how about Bosh in Cavs?

  • Jose Posted: May.22 at 5:35 pm
Wade and bosh instant contender.whoa der.lets not get ahead of oursleves now.baby step. Though as a heat fan myself i do welcome the idea very much!

  • mike Posted: May.22 at 6:41 pm
I would think ocklahoma would be a very nice fit for bosh

  • Scottie Pimpin Posted: May.22 at 6:52 pm
all we need is for D Wade and Dirk to commit and the championchip is coming to Chicago…… we are coming for you Los Angeles !!!!

  • Marco Posted: May.22 at 6:59 pm
Truth is that the raptors already have accepted the fact that he’s gone. Indeed they offered him to the lakers before the deadline, for either gasol or bynum. L.A. clearly didn’t want to part ways with the spaniard, and P-Jax was very favorable to the move but Jim Buss was reluctant to do it(’cause he is an idiot)

  • Robb Posted: May.22 at 7:01 pm
c’mpn Lakers get rid of Bynim. Good player but injury prone.

  • AL29 Posted: May.22 at 7:48 pm
Remember when superstars would LEAD their teams to championships? Bosh wants maximum money to be a number 2 guy.

  • BossTerry Posted: May.22 at 7:59 pm
@ Mike.. Yeah OKC seems to be a great fit for him… I also thought he would work well in New Orleans or Houston.

  • BossTerry Posted: May.22 at 8:01 pm
Also. TadOne hit the nail on the head.

  • Bruno Posted: May.22 at 8:31 pm
hey bosh go anywhere you want but stay away from LA please!!!!!!!

  • S_kemp Posted: May.22 at 9:14 pm
over-rated! what’s he done? good player but not in the same league as some of those other ’03 guys…

  • Hursty Posted: May.22 at 11:56 pm
I don’t understand the ‘LeBron to Chicago’ talk. It makes alot more sense for Wade to go, personal history etc.
They’d have a legit 2 guard, with Kirk as the 1/2 bench man. They’ve already got Deng at the 3, and Taj & Noah at the 4/5.
The only way LeBron is going, is if Deng’s horrendous contract is used for a sign-and-trade.
Either way, they’ll both be saddled with Jordan’s omnipotent legacy.

  • Pardeep Posted: May.23 at 1:54 am
I would chose OKC if I wanted championships and possibly the best team for the next 10 years. Bosh and Durant would be a sick 1-2 punch.

  • Tarzan Cooper Posted: May.23 at 2:11 am
I think bosh and rudy gay will go to mia, maybe kirk too

  • TripleDouble Posted: May.23 at 5:06 am
Do Cavs have the cap room to resign Lebron and sign Bosh? They did earlier in the year but did the Jamieson trade change all that?

  • jordan Posted: May.23 at 6:41 am
    bosh for bynum and vujacic…
I eam I have been a lakersa fan for 15 years, and this year they are gonna win the championship again… but as a laker fan I would do that trade…! kobe, gasol, bosh, odom, artest… ohh my:)

  • The Promise Posted: May.23 at 11:40 am
@jordan: Thats would make Bosh the 3rd option, and he would lose his mind. He is a prima-donna and I’m tired of him sayin all this stuff just to get publicity.

  • Shem Posted: May.23 at 6:43 pm
THIS IS A LIE SLAM. Nobody believe this article! It’s not true. Well it probably is true because those 5 teams would be great for Bosh but he did not physically give them a list. CB4′s agent admitted it and trust me I live in the heart of Toronto when something like this happens people talk about it. His agent released a statement saying he never gave the Raptors a wishlist

  • william frashet Posted: May.29 at 12:55 am
Lebron and Bosh will both be Knicks……..The Knicks are the only team that can afford 2 max players without a corny sign and trade……………The Knicks will also have Ricki Rubio and Brad Miller……Not to mention, Gallinari ( who was the best 3pt shooter at one point ), along with a healthy T-mac and Wilson Chandler & others.
