  IF they really want to trade him, of all the teams I think the Lakers would be a great fit. Him manning the point in the triangle, being a willing passer and also a guy who can score if needed (and being a “big” PG that Jackson likes), I can see it happen.

  I agree. I think he would be an ideal pg for the Lakers. The triangle doesn’t require a playmaker at the 1. He plays solid defense and has a high basketball IQ (even though his off court judgment doesn’t seem to be very sound).

  But back to what i said orignally that started all this: how wrong was i? Kobe was indeed on trial (and aquitted!) for r@pe. He might not have been guilty but it did put a stain on his legacy (which has been enlarged by that white hot photoshoot he recently did). He was also known as a ball hog, which he has become less of during/since the year they won their last chip. Just dont tell Pau Gasol that. Ron Artest did a whole freaking article/cover where he called himself a public enemy and loves that title. Delonte West rides motorcycles with shot guns, suffers from depression, banged Lebron’s mom (probably not though), and has said enough quotables to fill up a book. Im pretty sure calling him any time of crazy without some fancy name is a conservative statement. “Oh dont mind Delonte, he’s just crazy” sounds a lot better than “dont mind Delonte, he’s just schizophreniac and bipolar”….Not sure why everyone got so mad.

  I’m obsessed with the gloria james delonte west affair. This along with lebrons choke in the playoffs, is the ‘juicy news” of the year. I have to admit I dont like any Cleveland sports team. Cleveland is the poorest city in the country. Cleveland is one of the most segregated cities in America. Segregation leads to unemployment which leads to poverty. Segregation also leads to a city that abandons the Cleveland Public Schools. The only curse is the Cleveland school children.

  Delonte has been diagnosed with a mental problem. I think it was bipolar according to the report I read. The incident with the guns came after he went off his meds.

  I would be really disappointed if the Cavs trade Delonte. I think he is a tremendous asset to the team. He is very good at a lot of the intangibles out on the court. I like his hustle and his energy. He made a lot of critical plays for the Cavs during the playoffs against the Bulls and the Celtics (not to mention during the regular season). That tends to get overlooked at this point. Not to mention he scored big points when LeBron was benched late in the season. I am very curious to see how a new coach would utilize Delonte’s talents on the court. It would be very sad to see the possibilities lost. Please keep Delonte!

  Gentlemen I would worry a lot more about lebron than about delone. Lebron had some type of mental breakdown during the Boston series. Even if he just heard a rumor during a game; he still had to do his job! So I would be more concerned with lebron than delonte. lebrons meldown could be the sign of an underlying weakness
