Hawks to Interview Mark Jackson for Coaching Job

May this be more fruitful than Jackson’s attempts with the Knicks: “FanHouse has learned that the Atlanta Hawks will interview ESPN/ABC analyst Mark Jackson for their head coaching job on Saturday in Atlanta, according to a league source. Jackson — who concluded his Eastern Conference finals television work with Boston’s series-clinching Game 6 win over Orlando Friday — is expected to be the last candidate for the position, according to another source with knowledge of the Hawks’ process.”

Mark Jackson needs to be an Assistant Coach first before a Head Coach

He hopes to copy Doc, having not been on any bench for getting a HC job.

I think he might be a good fit for those ATL boys and he could get them to play some ”Outsanding!” ball

I respect his work at the point but that doesn’t really qualify him as a coach at the highest level. With that being said, first year coaches seem to have a ton of luck in the NBA.
