Lamar Odom’s Family vs. Celtics Crowd

L.O. might want to think about leaving the wife and kids home when the Lakers hit the road during these Finals. From the OC Register: “Odom remembers his kids being treated quite badly by Celtics fans. ‘They gave it to my kids last time in Boston,’ Odom said, refraining from repeating what was said to his children. Odom said that has him wondering whether it’ll be safe for his wife, reality-show personality Khloe Kardashian, to attend Games 3, 4 and perhaps 5 of the 2010 NBA Finals in Boston. ‘I don’t know how my wife is going to be able to sit in the crowd,’ Odom said, later adding that security might be needed … ‘It’ll be fun, though,’ Odom said. ‘I respect the (Boston) crowd and the knowledge they have of the game.”’

    Fans really need to chill. How would they like it if their kids went to their work and got harassed by hundreds if not thousands of strangers?

    @letsmotor I agree that bothering people’s kids is terrible, but let’s not forget that LA fans are the cream of the crop when it comes to being idiots. Where should I start? When they looted and destroyed Holy Grail last year? Or when 10 of them beat up 1 lone guy in a C’s jersey in ’08? Please.

    @KobeWearsAPurpleThong: those were disgusting displays as well. any instance of fans hurting/harassing other people over a basketball game is a disgrace. doesn’t matter what team’s fans we’re talking about. by the way, don’t think i’m being biased against c’s fans–i’m a huge celtics fan. just calling it like i see it.

    It stinks when fans can’t just enjoy a game and root or boo. @Sparker I guess you will never root for ANY team again b/c we all know that there are going to be those “fans” that get out of hand. @ Madex, why don’t you punch KG? Who is your team? Do you think that all of the fans who root for your team are “classy”? I’m a Celtics fan and I would take offense to your comment if it had any heart behind it. If Odom actually was concerned then he wouldn’t bring his family at all or have them in the box.

    All these guys who wanna punch KG, won’t even reach his face while standing on a chair. Met him, chatted with him, the man is a supertall, lean athletic specimen (and i’m 6’2″). Good luck with the punching.

    Just sit in a sweet or the front row. You wont see an altercation in the front row. But for the first time I’m cheering for LA. I’m not a fan but I’m the biggest Boston hater. Hopefully Kobe gets 5.

    the c’s fans don’t have a great record for their treatment of visiting wives. please ask joumana kidd if you think i’m wrong. involving the kids totally crosses the line. i’m pro-drunk belligerence, but not in a public place with kids.
