Playoff Tickets Cheaper Thanks to LeBron James

USA Today reports on what LeBron and the Cavs’ early Playoff exit means for fans’ wallets: “Average ticket prices for the Orlando Magic’s home games in the secondary resale market ‘dropped immediately’ to $154 from $177 when the playoff opponent was the Boston Celtics, says Russell D’Souza, co-chief executive officer of SeatGeek. According to StubHub, fans are paying an average of $178 for tickets to the upcoming two games in Boston. (Fans are trying to buy NBA Finals tickets with the Celtics up 2-0 on the Magic.) Ticket prices for both clubs are less than the average in the secondary market for the Western Conference finals, $372 for Los Angeles Lakers home games and $202 for Suns’ games in Phoenix. D’Souza attributes the Eastern drop-off directly to the King without a ring. ‘There was a lot of excitement this was his year,’ D’Souza says of James. Christian Anderson of FanSnap says average resale ticket prices for Orlando’s home games were down to $204 from $275 from a year ago against James’s Cavs in the conference finals. For Tuesday’s Game 2, tickets were available for as low as $60, Anderson says.”

Oh, another article about LeBron, even though any links to him are tenuous at best. Christ, I know SLAM got at him early, but this site is becoming ridiculous……..

is it really worth it to pay THAT much to watch a game?

Sebastian, here in the UK we’ve got TWolves against the Lakers at a pricey £100+($145), don’t want to take the risk just in case I end up watching the likes of Adam Morrison & Josh Powell instead of the preferred attractions.

Imagine those fools who ended up paying a lot of cash for game 5 of the CAvs vs Boston Series. LB just quit. WOW, you would think LB would at least stop biting his nails and hustle….Anyways, I think it won’t be the same if he wins with another star…That proves that there’s only ONe MJ.

LeBron makes honey taste sweeter, breathing easier, and childbirth less painful.
