Blazers Plan To Release Ryan Gomes

Gomes, who was aquired in a draft day trade with the Timberwolves, was told not to even travel to Portland. From the Oregonian: “Team president Larry Miller said the Blazers will probably release newly acquired forward Ryan Gomes in order to avoid taking on the remaining three seasons of his contract. The team has until Tuesday to make a decision, but Miller said he has already told Gomes’ agent not to fly him to Portland.”

    what? doesn’t make any sense. he’s a better player at SF than any other blazer other than batum who is supposed to be good but hasn’t really shown it consistently yet. I’m not sure why the blazers keep wanting to start batum when he really doesn’t do much.

    Gomes will find a team. Could be a bargain for any squad looking for a SF. He can start too. I wouldn’t be surprised if a team like the Spurs would pick him up. Every summer they seem to get players which always make me post: “And the rich got richer”.

    Well @Sporting-Lisbon-Blazers, you can say adios to Rudy. Their starting five is iffy except for Batum and Roy. I think I’d start PG-Roy, someone here at SG, Batum, Aldridge, and Od-looking-en. If only Olden’s knees could take a landing.
