Bobcats Make Offer To Ty Thomas
According to the Charlotte Observer: “The Charlotte Bobcats have extended a qualifying offer to forward Tyrus Thomas, making him a restricted free agent. The move allows the Bobcats to match any offer Thomas receives from another team. Thomas came to Charlotte from Chicago in a February trade, and averaged 10.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 25 games for the Bobcats.” He helped the franchise reach the Playoffs for the first time in their history–one of three firsts for the team, the other two being: Michael Jordan becoming the first former player to become a majority owner and Gerald Wallace becoming the first Bobcat to rep in the All-Star game.
