Bulls and Heat Now With Tons of Cap Space

Chicago and Miami have been busy wheeling and dealing in the last few days, and are now each in position to nab two max players through free agency. The Akron Beacon Journal has the details: “The Hinrich trade, much like any free-agent signings, can’t become official until July 8. But the Bulls are suddenly in position to add any two of James, Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer, Amare Stoudemire or any other premium free agent to a core that already includes Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Luol Deng. The Cavs’ quest for a title last season might ultimately hinder their chances of re-signing James. The Wizards were able to add Hinrich — and ultimately help the Bulls’ cause — because they unloaded the $13 million-plus owed Antawn Jamison next season to the Cavs. It means the Bulls, New York Knicks and perhaps the Heat will have enough cap space to offer two max contracts when free agency begins July 1. The Heat are inching closer to that status after their unorthodox move earlier this week, trading Daequan Cook and the No. 18 pick to drop down out of the first round and save an additional $3 million in payroll. The Heat are trying to clear enough space to re-sign their own star, Dwyane Wade, and surround him with two more max players. The Cook deal just might make that a possibility.”

In my gut, I think that he will stay in Cleveland. But, this shakes that. I never thought of LBJ as a guy that would want to play in Jordan’s shadow (CHI) or go to a team who’s star has already delivered a championship (MIA), but maybe he could care less about either of those and is all about the winning. Who knows.

  • jumpman3224

In other news, I’m getting really sick of the Summer of LeBron and expect mad hysteria when he starts visiting teams/cities. Does anyone know when the WBC starts? I’m ready to get back to some on-court related stuff to analyze.

  • Josh

Does anyone else get the feeling that Miami is doing everything right this off season and they will keep Wade and another big gun.

  • Double J

I didn’t realize Miami is capable of signing Wade and two more max contracts… Imagine Bron, Bosh, and Wade. Just need Kobe and D12 and u got the Redeem Team.

  • The D Train

As a Bulls fan I am terrified of Miami scoring 2 of the key FA’s, while we end up holding the bag and bringing back Salmons just to try and save face. We’ve been down this road before and ended up with the Ron Mercer sh1t platter deluxe.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

Oh D Train….don’t be terrified….be afraid, be very afraid. That sounds better.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

I’ll give you two advantages the Heat have…1)Pat can be coaxed out of the front office to coach the potential max guys they can sign 2)The Bulls are going to have to re-up Rose and Noah’s deal’s in a couple of seasons….the Bulls ability to keep that many high priced guys for the long term will be a negative. The Heat on the other hand have Chalmers and Beasley as the only players under contract, both of whom become expendable with the right deal and neither has the leverage that Noah or Rose would have in a new contract negotiation. Meaning? That means the Heat will be locked into potentially, three perennial All-Stars and a rotating group of players that will hold minimal contracts for the first few years this potential All-Star team has. If Beasley makes the cut and stays with the squad, think Lakers East, with three big guns and a 4th guy (like Odom) who can score and contribute (depending on the night, just like Lamar) with a limited bench. The Lakers have won two title like that in three seasons….with a Hall of Fame coach leading them. The potential is there for the Heat.

  • C-Lo-The-Great

srry to crush ur miami fantasy but bulls arent afraid to go over tax if it means championship so of course they will resign rose and noah i think bulls have just as good a shot as the heat and rose and noah are way more talented than chalmers and beasly so if we get 2 big guns that gives us 4 big guns and assuming we keep deng (17 and 7 avgs people forget how good he is) we will have our “lamar odum” so we got our five to your 4

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

Yeah….but would you choose Chicago or Miami as your home throughout the season? Get your mind right.

  • slamfan4life

Chicago WILL get 2 great players

MIA has wade…thats IT, can’t take anyone else on that team seriously at all

CHI has an all-star PG and all-star C (Noah is a BEAST) and Deng who is a VERY solid player + Just got an amazing coach in Thibs

Why the hell would you go to a place like MIA when CHI is 100x better in every way

  • Slick Ric

I Would!!! Get your mind Right.

  • Troublez da DON

ok, would u like to live in Chicago, be on a team that is guaranteed to beast and possibly bring it home, or go to miami where disappointment will be your best friend. GET YOUR MIND RIGHT!!!!

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

“an amazing coach in Thibs” What the f*ck are you smoking? He’s coached what and where with who? He’s an unproven HEAD coach that was a good assistant in Boston who specialized in their defensive patterns. He won’t be better than Scott Skiles ever was. Stop writing. He may be better than Vinny, true, but just to think he’s coming in and turning into Pop or Phil is dumb. Luol Deng is a bum, btw, he has been since 2007. Bulls fans need to stop acting like he’s going to magically morph into Scottie Pippen or some sh*t. He’s a non-factor in a lineup that may or may not include two other max guys. If anything, they may need him as a bench contributor.

  • http://air-tsinelas.blogspot.com Roy

I have a feeling LeBron is headed to Miami….

  • C-Lo_The_Great

funny how you call luol deng a bum if he were on the heat he would be the heats 2nd best player im pretty sure no bulls fan compares him to scottie pippin because most bulls fan i know wanted him gone rather than kirk hinrich just go look at the nba truehoops on espn for bulls like i said 17 and 7 avg are pretty bummy i guess he has better averages then everybody on the heat not named dwayne wade so really your calling everyone on the heat a bum which totally makes your arguement of chalmers and beasley being guns completely false

  • King

Can da media please get their fact right…da heat has 47 million in cap space

  • http://www.shawnkemp.com JACO

Cmon Pat us heat fans are waiting…..

  • mattydchi

If Lebron really wants to be a billion dollar brand and be the best, he has 2 options. Stay in Cleveland or beat MJ in his own town. Yes MIA has better weather and Wade, but CHI has been top in league attendance for years, a highly profitable tv contract (tops in the L), DRose/Noah and is a good hoops town. While I don’t discount Riley or Wade, the overall situation is better for CHI. All that said, JR and Paxson are in control so they could surly screw this up.

  • T-Money

My feeling: Bron/Bosh to Chi. JJ/Amare to MIA. Amare is basically already signed up by the Heat and Bron/Bosh are apparently a package deal (Bosh alluded to that on ESPN Radio) I think the Bulls would be a more complete team because they already have 4 solid pieces in Rose, Noah, Deng and Taj Gibson. But Wade with a beast on the pick n roll and a talented swingman like JJ is crazy too. Basically, Knicks = EPIC FAIL.

  • T-Money

Eboy: one knock against Miami, it’s not a basketball town. I was down there on vacations around X-Mas time and caught ORL vs MIA. The arena was half empty, no buzz. Most Heat fans (not you though) are fairweather fans, South Beach doesn’t care about the NBA.

  • AL29

I don’t get it. Everyone thinks Lebron and Wade could play on the same team. Can they co-exist in a starting 5, or do they each need to run the offense? I can’t think of a situation in the past where two ball handlers played together successfully. They can’t both average 30 points and 8 assists per game, and they’re too young to start sacrificing their stats like Pierce, Allen and KG.

  • jumpman3224

Bold Prediction: Bosh to the Clippers. Book it.
    Also co-sign @AL29.

  • http://theurbangriot.com The Nupe

I see Bron/Amare to MIA and JJ/Bosh Chi. Bron and DRose are not a good combo because they both need the ball in thier hands and most effective when they can dish or score. Plus Bosh wants to feel featured and he can’t do that on a team with either LBJ or Wade. Although Chi would have a team loaded with more stars (Rose/Bosh/JJ/Noah even Deng/Gibson are solid), I think the Mia would be a better team because their stars are better – LBJ/Wade + Amare.

  • http://kamndestiny@yahoo.com swisha sweet

chris bosh/ dirk to miami lebron n chris paul to jersey

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Funny how Eboy says Thibbs won’t ever be a Pop or Phil, when most people thought those two wouldn’t be sh*t either before their first year coaching. Not saying you wrong, just saying, you never know.

  • underdog

Don’t forget NYC. Maybe they have less capspace than the aformentioned teams, but they ready to pay the luxury tax, that’s for sure.

  • Mellmeister

oh what the f*** are you guys talkin’ about…

LBJ won’t be leaving cleveland, if he wants to cement his legacy, he should stay in CLEVELAND. so Dan Gilbert should find somebody who could coplement ‘Bron’s Game. and get rid of antawn “dumbass” Jamison and Mo “Not worth of his mo’” Williams and get f***in’ Arenas to play with him.

Chris Bosh would be a better fit in Chicago. with a young core headed by D-Rose and Noah… they’ll be one of the East’s Elite.

Amare stoudamire is a lock in Miami. where miami could get another notable player, just not sure who.

Carlos Boozer could go to the Knicks… He’s only worried about getting paid anyway. just hope the knicks would make a run at Arenas and Rudy Gay to make them competitive.

for other teams, don’t what will happen… but all i know is that the NBA Free Agency is not all bout the Summer of LeBron, it’s who wants ton play with who.

  • rico

Chi-city bring home Wade….eff LB3, Chicago hates him!

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

I like T-Money’s prediction, although Yahoo reported that Bosh is trying to attach himself to Lebron, rather than Lebron really caring what Bosh does.
I hope Mia gets Bosh instead of Amare, and Amare goes to Chicago with Bron.
I want to see those teams match up against the Celtics and Magic. Screw everybody else, I don’t want these half-way decent teams with only 1 superstar. I want a return to the 80s and early 90s where mutltiple great players played on a lot of teams, except I don’t want the reserve clause to come back.
I hope it makes contraction a reality.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

What about if the Heat signed Rudy Gay, Amare, and Wade. That would nice too. that way you don’t have tow orry about Joe Johnson and Wade fighting over shots, and you can save a little money to resign Haslem or Joel Anthony.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

Just to be clear….I think the Heat will wind up with Stoudemire and Gay and a couple of other solid 2nd tier guys. The push is for Bosh and Bron but that fantasy will go away after a day or two of the free-agency window opening.

  • http://aspov.blogspot.com Cheryl

Won’t it be interesting if everyone simply resigned with their own team? What’s you guys’ prediction on squads if all the top tier free agents stayed put? Just curious, since you all think you’re Kreskin…

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

Uhmmmm….here’s my prediction…….there’s going to be 4 or 5 really mediocre teams left standing.

  • http://aspov.blogspot.com Cheryl

You don’t need a crystal ball for that one, E. LOL
I’ve got fingers crossed that it won’t be the Heat.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

I was at the Draft Party last night at the AAA……I’ll say this…..it WON’T be us….TRUST ME.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

Cheryl, I’ll hit you up on your email and let you know what I found out.

  • flash

miami’s gonna get the better out of this free agency circus because pat riley is pat riley! in pat we trust!

  • The D Train

Another factor: I seriously doubt LBJ signs early in the FA period. If he draws it out, then the first domino might take a bit to fall. Once a move is made, then we might see other cats fall in line, but I cannot imagine everyone on the market will be waiting on Lebron to sign on the dotted line…and I cannot imagine him not milking this process for all he can.

  • The D Train

and I totally agree with Eboy: Miami will not come out of this summer empty-handed. Wade, Riles and South Beach? I would be completely shocked if they don’t end up with 2 of the big fish…just a matter of which 2. Chicago’s situation is much more tenuous. A rookie head coach and ownership that doesn’t have the glowing track record (correctly or not) of taking care of it’s own. Factor in the crazy sh1t with Pax-Man and VDN throwing down last year, and I just can’t see someone casting their lot with Chi-Town instead of Miami. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m afraid…very afraid, that I won’t be.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

I see Wade signing first. Probably in Miami. Then Amare or Boozer, followed by Gay.
Then it’s time for Cleveland, Chicago and the New York teams to have a steel cage match for Bron and his dinosaur looking sidekick.

  • T-Money

A couple of things that make me say that Bosh will go to Chicago and STAT in Miami. 1- STAT is from FL and stays in Miami in the offseason already. That’s where he passed his medicals earlier this summer. That’s where he wanted to go at the deadline. 2- Bosh downplayed his relationship with D-Wade saying that they aren’t that tight and only know each other through Team USA. 3- Chicago has NO interest in STAT if you believe the beat writers covering that team. 4- Bron/Bosh is a package deal and, quite frankly – even though I was resisting this at first – I really think that Bron and Wade want to be their own man, bosses of their cities and locker rooms. As much as we say that people can co-lead there HAS to be a 1a and 1b. Boston’s big 3 is ubuntu and all but PP gets the rock at the end of games in iso situations. Somebody has to eat first. / Allenp: I’d rank Bosh ahead of STAT. What say you?

  • T-Money

Oh and I can’t see Wade going anywhere. He basically took himself out of the FA craziness.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

T-Money, that’s pretty solid reasoning….which would then leave the Heat one contract available for someone like Joe Johnson…..so then it shake out like this: Is Bron/Bosh/Noah/Rose better than Wade/Stat/Joe/Beasley? In theory, I say the Bulls are, but I also think that Noah is going to lose some of his intangibles playing with TWO guys that love paint play like Bosh and Bron (in other words, losing some of his wild energy crashing the boards because the lane will be clogged like never before in his time in Chicago.) I also think that Rose will have to be more of a spot-up shooter with Lebron handling the rock 60/70% of the time, which takes away Rose’s natural strength’s. Also don’t undersell the Heat’s ability to resign Haslem with the extra cap space. He’s a Dwyane/Riley guy and will fill a role that’s needed. I’ll say this…if any of this sh*t happens for either squad, they are BOTH going to be murder!

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Yeah, Bosh is better than Amare right now. Now, if Wade can motivate Amare to board and defend, we might have a contest.
I like Rudy Gay, Wade and Amare on the same squad. With Joel Anthony or another bruiser to protect Amare. Gay might complain about shots though. He has an overinflated view of his talent.
Plus, you can bring Beasley off the bench and tell him to just shoot, or you can package him for something nice.
    Eboy, make this happen.
    Lol.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Of course if Bron does go to the Chi, which probably won’t happen, I like their team better.
However, even if the Bulls don’t get Bron, they could scoop up Joe Johnson and Bosh, who will ultimately choose money over his butt-buddy Bron, and then they would have a sick team too.
Rose, Joe, Deng, Noah and Bosh. Goodness, that’s nasty. Shooters, hustlers, post threat and defenders. Plus you have gibson off the bench. I like that squad a LOT.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

I don’t see Bron dominating the ball as much if he plays with Rose, but, honestly, I don’t see Bron going to the Chi. He ain’t trying to follow Mike like that. I would see him signing in New York before the Chi, to be honest, or possibly going back to Cleveland.
Even without Lebron the Bulls would be nice. And I don’t like Wade and Joe Johnson on the same team at all.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

If LeBron is weak-minded enough that he’d let “MJ’s shadow” affect him enough to not sign with the Bulls, than the Bulls might be better off without him. But I honestly don’t think some statue or legacy is going to affect him. The only people who keep bringing that up are people outside of Chicago.

  • The Philosopher

It’s all about… what The King wants to do. LONG… LIVE… THE KING.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

    enigmatic
Ain’t the statue, it’s the sportwriters and fans who will point to the statue whenever you screw up.
And trust me, given all the hoopla surrounding Bron, folks are just waiting to skewer him if he stumbles, or falls.

  • T-Money

Allenp: I have to strongly disagree with you. Because of this year’s playoffs fiasco, Bron can not go to NY. If he goes to NY, then he’s not about winning. There is only one thing that can raise his profile right now: a ring. The Knicks are garbage. I’d argue that it’s really between Chicago and Cleveland (if they can pull a S+T for Bosh). The Mike Jordan angle is overblow, Kobe Bryant was begging to go to Chicago at the start of the 2007 campaign. Because MJ played there the Bulls will never get a marquee swingman?! That’s ridiculous. His career will be compared to MJ’s no matter where he plays.

  • Scottie Pimpin’

john paxson should go to Miami and pick a fight with spoelstra, that will show DWade we mean business……

  • The Philosopher

I think LeBron will end up in Chicago. Not into predicting, but…

  • http://aspov.blogspot.com Cheryl

T-Money, his best chance at a ring is in Miami with Wade and a decent post player. It doesn’t have to be Bosh, but someone who can make plays down low and rebound. this is still an inside out game.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

If anyone thinks LeBron resigning in Cleveland is the best option for winning a title then you don’t understand how the salary cap works. There is not one logical basketball reason to resign with Cleveland. NOT 1

  • JTaylor21

What’s all this talk about bron being scared to play in MJ shadow. Was shaq scared to go play in LA becaus wilt and kareem played there, NO. Was KG scared to go to bos because russell, mchale and bird played there, NO. Was dhoward scared to play in Orl because shaq played there, NO. So why would bron be scared to go to the best place for him to win a chip just because there’s a statue of MJ outside. Cmon.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

And both Miami and Chicago are equally as likely to produce a title if they sign LeBron. Miami would legitametly be able to have Wade LeBron and Bosh on the same team. Like the celtics showed with 3 (already past their primes) superstars, you only need role players and one veteran defensive player after that. And Chicago is no different except Rose is no Wade and Joakim is not your average Role Player.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

So nobody thinks Bron is concerned with playing in the Chi, well I’ll go ahead and concede that argument. I still think it, but I won’t repeat it.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

I definitely think LeBron would rather not play in Chicago. (Solely because of Michael Jordan, not the statue)….but being that we can only take him for his word right now..and his word is that he wants to win they would seem like the 1a. or 1b. on the logical choice meter. But I’m with you, I don’t care what any of you say about other players that played for teams under a similar stars shadow, there is only one Michael Jordan. And his Shadow is vastly different then anyone that played in he NBA before him.

  • cc413

now that the bulls are shipping hinrich off chicgo has the cap space to sign both bron and bosh n will probably trade deng for a spot shooter after the season begins.. lebron needs better peremiter shooters.. if only james harden could find his to chi town..

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

IMO Ray Allen is going wherever LeBron goes..as a mid-level exception

  • cc413

imagine a front line of rose, allen, bron, bosh, noah, and deng, gibson, james coming off the bech.. instant success.. if ray ray is willing to sign for mid-level

  • T-Money

if i were chicago, id throw a lot of money at redick. Hes tough, hé défends and hé shoots. Ray Ray is inconsistent at this point in his career. Another reason why i would like chi: no rebounds, no rings. Bosh and Noah go hard on the glass, stat doesnt.

  • T-Money

I take that back. They would need a vet that has been there before. Bron bosh noah rose is a really young nucleus. Ray would fit, not sure hé wants to leave beantown tho.

  • cc413

very true.. redick has a better all around game also n can only get better n ray ray will only be around for a year or two more anyways.. but still chi will need more than one peremiter shooter

  • cc413

if he wants to add to his legacy he will join bron n bosh in chi town.. if he wants the most money he will stay in beantown.. i believe with that line up the bulls could very possibly threaten the bulls all time greatest single season record of 72-10

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

don’t get ahead of yourself. That team is not nearly defensively strong enough to threaten that record. – the 72-10 bulls had the best defensive 2, 3, & 4 of the decade (arguably of all time) on the same team. Defense breaks records, Chris Bosh and Ray Allen in a starting lineup (or any other 2 available in FA this year for that matter) are a legitimate 15 losses on an 82 game season in and of themselves.

  • cc413

ok ok i got alil ahead of myself but lebron is one the best defensive 3s of this decade n is only getting better n noah has great energy, hustle, and defense.. bosh not so much but he does play his heart out.. if bron can win 66 wit the cavs then i say this team could win 69 or 70

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

I mean maybe in a 2nd year they can approach 70, but that cavs team was a well established regular season winner. And they were DEEP (regular season they match’d up well with everyone). it was the playoffs where longer minutes for better player enabled teams to exploit the Cavs weaknesses. Like Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison on Defense this Season. Or The Cavs complete inability to hit shots in 07 – Or even their inability to deal with dwight in 08. The Bulls right now only have Rose, Deng, Noah, and Taj Gibson as players that can produce night in and night out. Adding 3 Free Agents only gives them 7 playable players and No Shooters to bring off the bench. Regular Season records are hard to come by on a team that was just built also

  • C-Lo-The-Great

lebron is overrated on D in chicago taj noah and kirk (not as much) were the reasons the bulls were good on D everyone else was mediocre at best on D if we do get bron and bosh that would be an amazing squad but they would need to buy into thibs defensive philosophy before anybody talks about championships let alone breaking the 72-10 record and imo i believe veterans are only good for when you never made the playoffs lebron went to finals awhile ago and rose and noah have incredible experiences in playoffs and lindsey hunter who is still employeed by chicago i think has a ring right?

  • http://Slamonline.com Nbk

Lindsey Hunter plays in the liftetime fitness basketball league in Chicago. He might be an assistant or a consultant but he is not an NBA player anymore

  • http://Slamonline.com Nbk

But yes he got a ring in Detroit

  • C-Lo_The_Great

yea thats what i meant by employeed but same thing
that was funny when that guy said john paxson should fight erik spolstra

  • NBA kid

Bulls win the title next year with a starting 5 of Rose, Bron, Deng, Bosh, and Noah

I see amare and rudy signing with mia, then wade, cuz it has to be in that order, haslem and joel stay, maybe jo. Boozer will prob go to nj, maybe jj too.. Dirk stays. Bron bosh to chi. And ny is left holding their peter, ha. Really, mia and chi will be loaded, nj and ny will get leftovers.

  • http://Slamonline.com Nbk

I don’t know if it’s true but I read on a few blogs that worldwidewes was quoted yesterday saying bron is “up and out” of Cleveland, and LeBron and Bosh we headed to chi….

  • http://www.need4sheed.com Tarzan Cooper

I see amare and rudy signing with mia, then wade, cuz it has to be in that order, haslem and joel stay, maybe jo. Bosh will go to nj, joe johnson too.. Dirk stays. Bron to chi. And ny is left holding their peter, ha. Really, mia, nj and chi will be loaded, ny will get leftovers.

It’s The King’s world, man. It is LeBron’s world right now. No one in the HISTORY… is doing it LIKE THIS.

In Jordan’s day, every year The Bulls won the championship, they were the talk of the whole off season. Kobe wins back to back championships, and we’re here wondering AND speculating about where the mighty King will play next season. That NEVER happened to Michael Jordan, for Jordan was ALWAYS the talk of the town. Even when he didn’t win.

  • T-Money

With long athletes like deng bron bosh noah and gibson, i trust thibodeau to côme up w a crazy défense. I think rose has the tools to be great on d’, hé just doesnt know how yet.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

New York didn’t even draft a guard that could potentially be an All-Star, opting to pass over yet another steal (Lance Stephenson). And then Donnie was talking about trading Douglas and Chandler, the two prospects that have a bright future on the team.
Knicks, please keep David Lee, or at least sign Carlos freaking Boozer. Please!

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

*Not saying that Lance Stephenson will be an All-Star in the future, just saying: The Knicks suck @ss at every facet of management, from drafting to building rosters to coaching to player rotations to monetary spending. Fackity fack fack why am I a Knicks fan?

  • Chris

Agreed with Teddy… Knicks front office sucks. They did what they neeeded to do to have a chance at LBJ and another Free Agent. You can’t blame them for that, but this team would sure be more enticing with a player like Brandon Jennings…

I’m so confused with all of this. I’ve been reading with the trade, the Bulls are still only 30 million under the cap — meaning that they can’t afford two free agents, where the max is projected to be 16+ million. Now that is really close, but I don’t think Bosh or LBJ would be willing to take less than max.

For 2009-2010 it broke down like this:
The maximum salary of a player with 6 or fewer years of experience is $9,000,000 or 25% of the total salary cap (2009-10: $14,472,500). For a player with 7–9 years of experience, the maximum is $11,000,000 or 30% of the cap (2009-10: $17,310,000)

For both Bosh and LBJ, you are looking at about 16 million each. Bulls need to get rid of Luo Deng to make this cut.

Am I wrong on the Bulls projected salary available?

  • http://www.slamonline.com J

you know i’m not really in to this free agency hoopla. my feelings of this is a mix. i want lebron to stay yeah. but seriously, there’s no one that’s seriously taking a look at the nets. i think they are the dark horse here. First.. Cap for at least 1 max and could possibly 2 (they’re close) depending on the deals they make, they have a solid core just like the bulls, and better than the Knicks. Lopez we all know what he could do, shooters in Lee and Yi, and i think they will look for more. An all star point in Harris, though not a spot-up shooter, is still legit scorer and a great floor leader, a better defender than rose and can be effective off-ball. a young talented rook in Favors which i think is ready to help, solid rebounder and will be a good defender. they will also have a solid bench if bron comes to town cause CDR will be moved there together with Yi and terrence williams, they could match up with the bulls in terms of talent. a great head coach in Avery. this guy knows how to win and very well respected. (note; bron’s camp says he prefers a proven coach who has experienced playing in the league..) a billionaire owner. possible scenario is HARRIS-JOHNSON-LEBRON-FAVORS-LOPEZ WITH BENCH OF LEE-CDR-WILLIAMS-YI.

Honestly i can’t see bron teaming up with wade, though it would be great, who’s gonna work off-ball? who’s posting up? neither were great at doing that. THAT IS WADE’s TEAM! bron won’t be 1b. i think MIA is ending up with STAT, and 2-3 great role players(1 defensive center, 2 guards with good shooting). Bosh is.. Knicks? i don’t know! Lebron and Bosh in CHI is great (but of course i don’t want that to happen unless its in Cleveland) and if they add that i think they will get tons of shooters especially that Hinrich is gone.

IMO Miami has to best chance of signing the big names just because they have no income tax and Miami is well…. Miami:D.
But i doubt Lebron will go there.

Miami doesn’t need lebron. We already have dwade. Sign stoudemire, gay, ridnour, plus another center and we’re ready to rock!
