Because the revolution will not be televised…

With all the rampant speculation for the NBA’s upcoming free agency aka the “Summer of ‘10” I must admit t
hat at times I get caught up in it all. There are some very intriguing possibilities that could come to fruition on July 1. (Check the new issue of SLAM to see two such possibilities.)
Of course, we all realize who the two most coveted free agents in “the Association” are, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Wouldn’t it be fascinating to see those two paired up and playing together to go for championships like they are going out of style? I think so. Plus, when we start to look at the blueprint for winning the titles, most prognosticators scream, “YOU NEED AT LEAST TWO SUPERSTARS!” Which I would agree is true, however, maybe the greatest duo and greatest team of all time not only had two superstars, but did it without what I believe the truest need is of a championship caliber team, an elite frontcourt player.
That team would be the Chicago Bulls, and those players were MJ and Pipp. Can DWade and LeBron follow in their footsteps? Here are a couple of reasons why this should happen.
