Let’s Petition to Get Nate and Big Baby a Sitcom

by Ben Collins

What started as an innocent suggestion on Twitter turned into a human right during the fourth quarter and post-game press conferences.

Nate Robinson and Glen “Big Baby” Davis need a buddy cop show. We need this to survive.

That’s why I’ve started this petition.

Nate and Baby combined for 30 points on 11-18 shooting. They were +8 and +5 on the floor respectively.

Enough of that stat s–t, though. In the press conference room, Nate leaned over to Big Baby and said, “We’re like Shrek and Donkey!” And then they slapped hands and half-hugged.

This has to be a cop show.

They’re two basketball players who already look like they should be playing another sport, anyway. So why not put them in a 1970s cop car and have them capture cat burglars with a giant net?

I’m thinking we call it, “Little Man, Large Infant.” But I’m completely open to conversation.

One supporter of the cause even suggested that Brian Scalabrine play the role of Sergeant Veal. But we know how busy Scal is, working full-time as a fashion maven. We will not get our hopes up.

So we need suggestions. We need a photoshopped poster for the show. And, most of all, we need signatures.

If we get enough names on this sheet, we’ll print it out and present it to Baby and/or Nate at practice tomorrow.

So let’s get this thing on Lifetime. I mean, how many episodes of Designing Women can they possibly air?
