Nate Robinson ‘Feels Wanted’ in Boston

There’s no telling if the Celtics will re-sign Lil’ Nate following the season, but after the way he’s played in these Playoffs, it’s something worthy of serious consideration. FanHouse reports: “Robinson, who will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his five-year career, said he definitely has interest in re-signing with the Celtics  if they want him back. ‘Of course,’ Robinson said. Even though the 5-foot-9 Robinson’s playing time has been erratic, he said he likes the way the Celtics have treated him since he was acquired Feb. 19 from New York. ‘I feel wanted here,’ said Robinson, who averaged 6.5 points in 14.7 minutes in 26 Boston regular-season games, but has seen his numbers drop in the postseason to 3.4 points in 6.4 minutes in the 11 games he has played. ‘This group of guys, this team, this organization is good for me. They’re high class, man. They keep it 100 percent (real) with you. Doc (Rivers, the coach) keeps it 100 percent. He tells you straight forward what he wants. I like that.”’

good for Nate. stats don’t tell the story of the impact he’s had for the C’s in a few playoff games. glad to know he’s happy.

if he doesnt get huge $ signs in his eyes on 1st july i think we should resign him. he has had and can continue to have a huge impact. we need to get a legit backup big man (sheed is nice but too slow and baby isnt long enough) at least 6’11 and 250lbs and we will be good for one more run.

Definetly Nate is certainly a big key to the green machine defense as well as being a great offensive player. As a celtics fan he puts the effort in as a defensive dynamo and should be duly rewarded I’m really happy for Nate:) sign him & give more minutes slam please do an article on him and the celtics when we win the chip in ur preview let’s go celtics! lepruchaun were there in la

I like Nate. He’s always very energetic on the bench, and seems like a great teammate. He can put up huge points, and has shown potential in New York. I feel like he’s matured a lot too after coming to Boston.

people wondered why the traded Eddie “George” House for Nate. Now we are seeing why. Not so much for his skills at the point (Eddie was lacking there too) or for his defense, but for his speed and energy. Eddie could shoot the 3 and talk trash, but Nate is explosive. He reminds me a little of Vinnie “Microwave” Johnson. Since Boston has had such a hard time getting a decent backup PG (Sam Cassell, Gabe Pruitt anybody?) They should consider Nate.
