Polladaday: Best Calipari PG in 5 years?

With J. Wall being the likely #1 pick tonight, he continues the trend of phenom lottery picks rising through a John Calipari coached program.

Five years from now, who will be the best NBA PG previously coached by J. Calipari?

I’ve got Tyreke, but DRose and Wall are no joke. No love for B. Knight?

Was it just me or did the last selection (Future phenoms) not show up for vote? I swear I only saw it after I voted…

  • jumpman3224

    @niQ: me too

  • Dre JayAre

Chi-Town bias, but Rose already has a complete game, the others need to work somewhat.

    M. Teague, KIDDDDDDD.

On another note, Rose, Reke, and Wall all have the same game. None of them are good at 3′s either.

@Dre JayAre: umm….’Reke averaged 20-5-5 as a rookie, that’s the type of complete game few have had before him.

The point guard spot is just stocked in general nowadays. You’ve got old-timers Kidd and Nash doing their thing. In-their-prime super stars Williams and CP3. Young All-Stars Rondo, Rose and Nelson and potential all stars in Reke, Jennings, Curry, Westbrook and Wall.

  • http://slamonline.com/ Ryne Nelson

Bledsoe’s losing this one badly. Can’t see him even in the conversation, but we’ll see.

  • jumpman3224

@Ryne: I agree, but I do see some team picking in the 20s very happy to grab him.

  • LA Huey

w/ those rookie numbers, I see ‘Reke having MVP potential but Rose’s game is more likely to lead to rings. I’ll take Rose.

  • Martey

    Calipari is one lucky mofo

  • J-Killer15

Ty is going to be the best player but I don’t see him playing the point that much during that same time period. I’ll go with Rose on this one

I really don’t see what everyone else sees in D-Rose…I’m taking Reke on this one.

  • guytoofly

    d-rose no contest

  • ave. joe

Someone really likes Bledsoe… I voted Tyreke, Wall would be second, Rose is overrated, Knight will be solid, Bledsoe is backup material. IMO.

  • KoolaidkiD

Tyreke Evans, or T-Legend, Reke-Havoc… whatever. Dudes a beast, and has only begin to scratch the surface of what he’s gonna become.

  • Dubz

REKE! btw RONDO is already a superstar. Rose is amazing but gosh tyreke can take games over ( and away lmao). i wonder how cousins and reke could work out…

  • http://www.need4sheed.com Tarzan Cooper

Reke by a couple miles. Rose is good, wall will be too, but theyre not on rekes level. And for his comment that they all have the same game, niq is hereby banished to the slamonline dungeon of idiocy, say hi to chukaz

I’d say Evans, rose just reminds me of marbury with fewer asssists, a bad shot but way more sanity^^

Cal is getting way too much credit? Rod Strickland
excuse me if I misspelled his last name, but he should get Alot more credit. Bledsoe, and the Futures
arent ready to be included in the conversation yet?
This is almost like asking which one of your kids you love most, anyway,Rose, reke, and wall, all have the same weakness, lack of a consistant jump shot.
Rose is the most spectacular,Reke has the bigger body in the half court and get to the rim the best, and Wall is the better defensive player. But I am sure Coach Rod, loves all his babies.

Rose by a landslide. take a poll from NBA players and they would tell you the same. Tyreke’s numbers dont translate to wins, and also he has a reputation of being a bad teammate. Rose is putting up numbers and keeping his team competitive in playoff games, which matters more than regular season numbers
