Polladaday: What’s wrong with Boston?

Game 1 of the NBA Finals was expected to be a knock down, drag out affair. What wasn’t expected was a blowout. After a closely contested first half, the Lakers ran over Boston and away with the victory. Did you expect it to look so easy? Can Boston bounce back in Game 2? If so, how? Click away.

Did Game 1 change your opinion on this series outcome?

I already said this in another thread, but it seems more fitting here. “Is it just me or did KG play absolutely HORRIBLE? I watched that last quarter wondering if the Lakers had paid him to suck. lol”

KG was horrible, but the refs were determined to be the star of the show. So many fouls, just let the guys play, it’s the finals dammit!!

it’s ok to call fouls if it was a violent game, but come one they were calling fouls on defensive players if they were just standing there with their hands up! what do they want.. for the players to just back off and let people dunk? it was ridiculous. big baby would look silly and jump up (2 inches) and bump odom who’s just standing there and get Fts. Kobe jumps up for a fade away jumper and Allen gets called for a foul (replay shows… well it showed nothing that even resembles a foul). Come on refs. don’t start regulating even before it gets physical!

What happen to all that Boston’s bench is better. Last night that was hardly the case. The only people Doc Rivers trust of his bench are Tony Allen and Rasheed. The Ticket stub will nt be a factor with the lakers lenght.

Headlines no-one was predicting before last night: “Celtics no match for physical Lakers.” Bizarro world, truly. Don’t get comfortable, Lakers, that’s a mean bunch of m*therFers you slapped around last night.

I wonder if the Celtics realized their most productive player was Nate Rob (+10) last night. LOL. Sure that statistic is always criticized, but it doesn’t change the fact that the Celtics were a gain of 10 points why he was on the court lol

adjustments – “all of the above” should have been an option. they all played terrible. will be a quick series if the Cs dont wake up.

can i vote for all four in the second poll? pau killed the C’s last night. on that one play when he got about two of his own offensive rebounds and then placed the ball into the basket, you could tell the C’s might be f*cked (for game 1). too long of a break before this series. this C’s team always seems like it has to get going as a series goes along. let’s hope it doesn’t take them too long as they’re somewhat effed if they drop game 2. winning 4 out of 5 against this lakers team is not very likely. nothing will surprise me in this series. except, if neither perk nor artest nor sheed pick up another T. that will surprise me.

4 me the real question in this finals was whether Boston losing those two games 2 Orlando made the Celtics lose momentum if they have this is gonna b a very quick series

  • BostonBaller

nothing is wrong. All of the above on poll #2

As much as I hate to say this (because I’m a Celtics fan) but KG played terrible basketball in game 1. Nonetheless, the C’s have to make adjustments in game 2 and tie up the series. :)

lakers win game 2, lose 3,4,5, and win 6 and 7. home teams win all!

voted no. Let’s not write off the Celtics too easily.

  • BostonBaller

We were outplayed last night plain and simple…the refs did effect us at the very start but we simply sucked last night but don’t get it twisted, we are in this to win it. Green for 18.

These options suck. I think the Celtics lost because they executed poorly, because the PRESSURE is on them.

  • giogolo

im glad im right on with most of the voters.

DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cant u see … all they want to do is brag and argue they cant focus asa team and KG just plains sucks

  • ab_40
