Sam Presti: ‘I Have Not Interviewed With Any Teams’

A report in the NY Post claiming that Presti — the current GM in OKC — had interviewed for the same gig in Portland forced him to come out, and categorically deny it. From The Oklahoman: “Oklahoma City Thunder General Manager Sam Presti has emphatically denied a new media report claiming he has interviewed for the same position with the Portland Trail Blazers. Tuesday’s editions of the New York Post, citing a ‘Northwest source,’ reported Presti recently interviewed in Seattle, home of Blazers owner Paul Allen, for the job currently held by Kevin Pritchard. ‘The story is absolutely false,’ Presti said in response Tuesday. ‘I have not interviewed with any teams or spoken to officials related to a team, nor do I intend to. I have a terrific situation here with the Thunder and enjoy being a member of the Oklahoma City community. I am excited about the short and long term vision for our organization.’ It’s the second time in four days Presti’s name has been linked to the Blazers and the second time Presti has had to express how satisfied he is in his current position.”

Presti’s right, he’s in a terrific situation already. The Thunder and Blazers should be competing for NBA finals appearances here in the very near future, and if all goes well hopefully they’ll be meeting the Bulls in some of those finals!

Yeah, why would he leave the Thunder? They’re hotter than Shakira, it’s a great place to be for Presti and who knows how far this team can get in the next couple of years?

Yeah idk why PA is so trigger happy with the organizaton right now. There must have been something festering under the surface with the upper management. But as far as presti goes I mean other than the core of the team what is the bonus of working in okc, I mean first off you’re in OKC that alone should be enough to make you want to leave.
