Tiny Gallon Excited To Play With Brandon Jennings

And we’re not mad that the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel shouts us out in the story. “You never know just whom you might run into at the NBA draft at Madison Square Garden in New York. Say, for example, you’re 6-foot-9 Oklahoma forward Tiny Gallon. You’re seated in the crowd not far from the stage, green room and media area where all the action is and you happen to spot your former high school teammate and buddy Brandon Jennings right down in front of you doing online analysis for SLAM magazine. ’I texted him, and I said, I see you, I’m right behind you, turn around,’ Gallon said. ‘He came up and, you know, all the fans up there were going crazy over him, but security kind of backed them up. Brandon shook my hand and gave me a hug and said, Congratulations – and went back to his seat.’ Gallon and Jennings were teammates at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, and Jennings is a major reason Gallon was so pleased that the Bucks used the third of their three second-round picks – No. 47 overall – to select him in Thursday’s draft. ’That’s my man,’ Gallon said of Jennings, who just completed his rookie season with the Bucks. ‘I feel great. That’s a team I really wanted to come to because of Brandon. I know a lot of point guards in the NBA, but he’s the one I trust the most out of all of them because I’ve known him for quite a while. So me and him have a little chemistry – off the court, too. I just want to go there and try to help him.’

Yeah they sure are. I read that Jennings is nervous about losing John Salmons (which is bound to happen), but with the additions so far they can survive without him. Defensively he will be missed, I guess. And good for Gallon to be reunited with Jennings again. Chances are pretty slim stuff like that happens, so pretty cool that it did.

I’ll take CDR for Salmons if i’m Jennings

real talk yall ain’t made no mention of my Jamaican brethren Jerome Jordan outta Tulsa!!!!! if Bogut goes down this year just look out for the big old crazy athletic 7 footer for Milwaukee!!! total steal

  • deano

    Jennings, Redd/CDR, Maggette, Gallon/Sanders, Bogut

thats a roster. Not a big Illysova fan so I’m happy the Bucks strengthened that 4 spot

If there’s one team that took my advise by going bigger it’s Milwaukee. With Gallon and Jordan on board, I think the team that noone is talking about are the Bucks. This team will be a threat
    in the playoffs next year.

Honestly, Gallon could’ve used AT LEAST another season in college. But hey, if he can make it work, and be with BJ, then it’s all good.

most of this draft coulda used at least one more year in college. I know guys like Wall and Evans are guys who have the maturity and work ethic to succeed at the next level but you’ve got to have some question marks about a lot of these 18 year olds leaving school without even making a mark in the college ranks…..I don’t know wish the kid all the best though, definitely gonna have an adjustment to make

I guess Gallons is expecting to make the roster, which is good, because I damn sure don’t. I know they have a need for some front court help; I just can’t believe he can make the team over some moderately priced veterans that have proven to produce.
