Warriors Unveil New Logo, Color Scheme

The new logo is modeled after the yet-to-be-erected eastern span of the Bay Bridge: “A silhouette of the yet-to-be-completed Eastern Span of the Bay Bridge is the focal point of the design and a direct spin-off of “The City” logo, one of the most popular emblems in the history of professional sports. [...] The colors of the new logos and branding elements are Warriors Royal Blue and California Golden Yellow. These two colors have been the most prevalent in the team’s Bay Area uniform history, appearing as the dominant scheme in four of the last five decades since the team’s arrival on the West Coast in 1962.”

    I can’t stand the thinking that there has to be someway to identify NBA logos as a basketball team. In general, incorporating a basketball into the logo is stupid. Just imagine if all of the NFL logos had footballs in them…ridiculous right?

    This has got to be a JOKE. Looks like crap and uses the overused font of all time that designers joke about! Plus, how does basketball and warrior equal a damn BRIDGE? Good luck with that one. Luckily, the team sucks…so maybe there’s the connection. Awful. Hire a professional.

    I agree with most people..the new logo is sick.. but the new jerseys SUCK!!! reminds me of WNBA’s Lifelock (LA Sparks) uniforms.. :-(

    I like the logo but cosign Enigmatic, the first thing i thought when i saw that jersey was WNBA knockoff.

    @LeadDog: Copperplate is not the most overused font of all time that designers make fun of…that would be Papyrus.

    Sorry this is a bit late, maybe I could have brought you all some reality a bit sooner and avoided this mess, but I just noticed the logos today, as my team is soon to face yours….
    LMAO HAHAHAH Yo..you’ve got an awesome name in “Warriors” and go and put a dumb looking bridge on you stuff??? WTF. You could have had some evil looking native with a spear or something…or is it because this is Pelosi land, that’s just not politically correct???
    Oh well, at least, wearing these, the team now captures the community perfectly…if you catch my drift HAHAHAHA
    PS some have said there should be a bball incorporated somewhere…naw..how about a nice ‘rainbow’ over the bridge…HAHAHAHAH
    Sorry..I am actually a big fan of underdogs, so if the bridge installs fear into the hearts of other teams, I’m all for it!
