Bucks Acquire Keyon Dooling


Brandon Jennings has a new back up, as the Journal Sentinel reports; “The Milwaukee Bucks continued to fine-tune their roster Monday by signing veteran free-agent point guard Keyon Dooling. The Bucks used their bi-annual exception to sign Dooling, 30, to a two-year contract worth about $2 million per season. Both years are guaranteed … The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Dooling has played in 595 games for four teams over 10 seasons. ‘Keyon is a veteran and will complement Brandon (Jennings),’ Hammond said. ‘He’s filled both roles as a point guard as he’s been a starter in the NBA, and he’s played a backup position. He’ll fill in for Brandon with a little added size. Keyon is tremendously long at 6-3 and has always been known as one of the better on-ball defenders in the league.”‘

    he’s a good locker room guy too, he can hit the three, great sense of humour and can control his ego– why did miami not try and get him, way better shooter and defender than chalmers

    I was hoping for a Miami return, but I’m happy for him. He gets two years and the Bucks are going to be a playoff team again this coming season.

    I like the Bucks squad, they are going to be similar to the Bulls squads a few seasons ago, except their talent level is higher. Skiles will have them ready.

    The only thing I’m worried about with the Bucks is that it was around year three with the Bulls that Skiles’s coaching style started to take its toll on the players and guys started to shut him out. Hope that doesn’t happen to the Bucks.

    Dooling can d it up, perfect Skiles guy to spell Jennings. Bucks should be a squad to look out for in the East

    Fear the deer. This squad is taking shape…possibly into a giant killer come playoff time, but that’s getting a head of myself.

    if they stay healthy, the Bucks with Skiles manning the helm, are right at the top of the East. Deep too. Fear the Deer.
