Bulls Add Kurt Thomas

Chicago shores up their interior defense by plugging in the veteran big. Reports ESPN: “The Chicago Bulls have agreed to terms with free-agent big man Kurt Thomas, according to a source with knowledge of the deal. Thomas, a 15-year veteran, averaged three points and four rebounds last season for the Milwaukee Bucks. He will back up Joakim Noah, essentially replacing Brad Miller’s role on the roster. Thomas will undoubtedly serve as a mentor for Noah, as Miller did, and will help rookie center Omer Asik adjust to the NBA.”

Nice move, good replacement for Miller. The Bucks will miss him.

Not a better player than Miller, But still a good pick up. He’s better than any post player the Heat can bring off their bench.

@slamfan4life Haha! Yes! I like anyone who uses the term “murk.” Bulls have made another solid move. They look better and better.

Bryan, your team doin good there man.. My biggest question there is Thibs.. not hating the coach but.. You know we had a similar defensive-minded former coach last year in my cavs..

  • The D Train

Enigmatic and I were just noting in another post that we were hoping Crazy Eyes would be running w/the Bulls this year. Nice veteran big man. Solid pickup.

Yessir, we got another solid piece. Yo D Train, who do you think’ll be the final piece of the puzzle? T-Mac? Josh Howard? Maybe Shannon Brown? At this point, I think as long as it’s not someone who would be detrimental to our team, I really don’t care. Cause like D. Rose said, “we good right now”.

  • Diesel

My vote is for Shannon Brown. Bulls need another gaurd/swing with decent size that can defend. And with barnes locked up in LA I think Shannon will be coming home.

  • Tommy Patron

Wouldn’t be the Bulls without a contender for League’s Slowest Player….

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

I agree, Diesel. Yes, T-Mac and Howard are both former all-stars and all that, but I think Maywood’s Finest would be a much better fit for the Bulls. The other two might get you more points, but they also come with extra baggage, i.e. injuries and being headcases.

  • The D Train

‘igmatic: Oh man, Shannon Brown would be freakin’ sweet. Him and Rose would run the the smallest, dunkenest backcourt in the L. That would nuts from a highlight standpoint, man. If they got the bills to pay him, I say bring him in.

    He rocks @ NBA 2K10.
